Yup. I've been beaten by a girl in my flight. There was once when I was playing some time ago. A girl about 15 was playing with us (following her Dad). She didn't hit far but straight as an arrow. No chance. Got whacked.

| Oddly enough, the trash talking rules don't apply when it's a lady playing. | |

| Get goreng / hackle at / laughed by friends are fine. I am a complete novice. Only played twice on the course. However I have observed 2 things:
1. If the person is better than me, ok, but not when the person giving it is equally bad at the game.
2. Some people can give but very bad at taking it.....

I guess the situation changes if everyone seems to be playing well but you are playing exceptionally well. In such situations, they can't fault anyone. So, would it be #2 here? i do feel bad, but next game.. i give more strokes without them asking for it. sometimes i buy a nice cap for e.g taylor made.. . and do a white lie .. and tell them, i got them free and give it to them. to me good buddies are like a gem. money takes 2nd place. and betting is necessary just to add fun and some challenges into the game.

Who will double the bets with you.... Probably crazy or too much $$ perhaps i would. i bring my A game when i am playing against good players. i dun know why. i always play much better when i play with super good players. macam got auto switch. for me.. losing to a much better player is better than losing to a lousier player.

| always in the receiving end...so not sure of what thrashing others feel... but i do know tht not everyone at the receiving end might like to be advised.... so i still feel it's better to keep the comment or advice by themselves... (imagine both abt the same standard but tht poor fella having an off day.... advice might be worse) esp all of us are "non-pro" so what works for you might not work for others... anyway, i prefer to bet with less serious players... as in able to joke during the game and not so serious... play golf to enjoy mah... | |

| I think you need to assess the situation.
- If your flightmate is furious with himself and cursing etc, there's no point teaching him. Rather, encourage him to cool down and take it easy. Don't ridicule.
- If your flightmate is a little upset and you can see what's wrong, perhaps consider offering some tips, e.g. less movement, your alignment is off etc. Don't comment on swing etc.
- If your flightmate asks for help, then offer help but again... don't go overboard. You may be just as wrong.
