Which hotel to stay in BALI?

Hi GRians, 

i am planning to go BALI for 4d3n and have no either which hotel to stay, so can someone pls recommend me some hotel which you stayed or heard before that's worth recommending. 

my budget is sgd150/night, hopefully with great view and near to beach.

Mulia hotel has a resort on the island. Never been there but it's new. . Heard from somebody in there they planning some promotions on the resort. .. knowing Mulia, its standards are high and luxurious. . 

Thoroughly enjoy mulia jakarta. .

I stayed at the stones hotel by marriot on my last trip and can't stop praising their hospitality.. Everything was perfect and great location!! Try it You won't regret!!

If u want beach front facing hotels, Nusa Dua is where u need to be. However its abt 20-30mins cab ride from Kuta.

So depending on what u want; near beach or near town. I personally always stay at Nusa Dua area cos I like the nostalgic feeling.

Try seminyak area. Exclusive

Just came back from a 10 day trip to bali. Bali hotel range is from sgd10 to sgd 3k a night. Very diverse range. In the end, it depends on what you wanna do. Go check out agoda. Tons of hotels for you to see. If you want by the sea type, check out hotels in jimbaran, nusa dua and seminyak. Personally, I prefer seminyak. Other than beaches, there are a diverse range of eateries there. From warungs like warung kolega and warung aneka rasa (about rp 35k per meal) to the up market restaurants like la luciola, potato head, ku de ta, wahwah burgers, metis and sardines (rem to call and make reservation). There are nice cafes there as well, like zucchini, revolver.

Jimbaran and uluwatu area are for the high end villas. Eg, infinity pool overlooking cliff type. I believe you can find a promo deal for sgd150 a night. The prob I feel about jimbaran and uluwatu is assessibility. Because its exclusive and its difficult to get out of the hotel to eat other restaurants. Generally people just stay in the 5 star hotels throughout their holiday. Places to see at jimbaran/uluwatu, is the uluwatu temple, Padang Padang beach, jimbaran bay. Also, do check out this bar called rock bar. I forgot the hotel name though. U might wanna google it. Rock bar at sunset is freaking amazing!!

If I were u, go do some research on agoda and hotel.com. You will find amazing hotels at amazing prices there

stayed at grand bali beach at nusa dua before. reasonable price (shld be under your budget) and got its own beach also. but its quite far from kuta, need to take cab if you wanna go to crowded area like kuta.

I assume you might want to play golf as well.

Was there early June and managed to tour the place abit.

If my memory didnt fail me, you should try http://www.nirwanabaligolf.com/. They have nice golf course as well.

Incase you guys not aware, they practise 2 tier pricing in most places. So the local will have a better rate than the tourist. If you are keen, can pass u my local tour guide there. He can help you book cheaper.

Maybe you want to check the rates before asking him.

I didnt pick up golf then but was told this is a very popular course in Bali.

We even went there to see it on the side since we were going to Tenah Lot Temple which need to bypass this golf course.

your opening para did not mention if you are going to Bali for golf but assuming you are, then staying in Jimbaran or Nusa Dua Area would be better cos you have faster access to New Kuta Golf. Otherwise stay in Seminyak area for faster access to Nirwana Bali Golf Club. Trip Advisor is a good source on info on types and budget for your accomodation.
