while you are searching. can share what you have in the bag, whether you play 18 holes with a driver?

| Bro, you're not alone. I'm going through a terrible slump for my driver now. Can't even launch the ball. Give up self correcting, I'm planning to go to a coach to sort out my driver and short game this coming August. | |

| I having the same problem lately. Driver gone bad to worst for last 2 games. Yesterday could only Tee-off 1 properly down the middle of the fairway at the 18th, finally. Could help with some pro guide, I guess. | |

| G You know, if you pay "very competitive" price, you may get "very competitive" service. at the office, at any service industry, maybe except in social work.
If after 10yrs of skimping lessons and not progressing, id really recommend you look for quality instructions. Anyways most pros benchmark their rates and really not much difference. Taking lesson for 2 pax is another way to keep costs down. Maybe can meet a kaki here. most bang for your buck.
Or go for group clinics e.g. Justin Han/Allen Kelly has one at Laguna. i went to champions academy clinic once, mgk has regular sessions at mbgc, tendy tsai has one coming up soon at turf city etc. clinics are good and cost effective to get a feel of their teaching methods. If suitable to you, then engage the coach for full lessons. Hope it helps.

| I have been taking lessons from 4 coaches previously. Golf is such a funny game that will causes me joy when hearing the ping sound from striking the golf ball but most of the time ,frustration of not able to drive far, lousy iron shots distance and putting till pisses the flight at the back off waiting...
My first coach taught me 1 year ++ nearing 2 years back and I gotten a handicap from him. I start with R11 graphite stiff shafts irons. However months down the road all my distance shortened and slices are constant! Went to see 1 other coach to learn basic onwards, improved swing but however now hooking instead of slicing... but after a while distance kept loss.. Eventually thought maybe seeing a fitter may works instead, went Big Fish and was advised it not the equipment but my swing instead (However he do agree the irons I have are too gu niang) but he suggested lessons first.
Went to a coach, lessons and at one time I practice till 1 time where I top and can't launched the ball and even my coach was puzzled citing tired causing that. After about 5 to 6 sessions, I decided to trade in my R11 and go for Ping steel irons and boy my swings were consistent straight.
A few months down now, dammn now my iron, driver, hybrid all losses distance once again... And again my quest now I will be looking for my coach to give me lessons again.

| I've had 2 coaches before. Both were not very good I must say. My iron swing is very inconsistent and I'm thinking of getting another coach to work on my fundamentals.
Simon, can you pm me your coach contacts as well as pricing?

| Thnx Pushslice, appreciated your advice. Guess you are right to go for a good quality coach instead of a "very competitive" one. Cheers man! | |
