- There is a new course in Batam ......padang golf sukajadi ...... very much like horizon but at a cheaper rate ..... all in at S$50/-. Good deal you know ........
Just walk in as we did .... at S$50 nett and I guess it is a promotion because it is a new course. Very few players when we played last week as I guess not many people know about this new jewel in Batam and it is developed by a developer in Batam and of course many new houses around it ..... temporary clubhouse but good enough for all the basic golfers need ..... cheap food, nice shower area with strong water pressure for which I thought is better than Southlink since I only played at Southlink, Batam Hill and Sukajadi in Batam and mind you that was my first time in Batam. We had a wonderful time with all the local food fares especially the fish stuffs in one of the coffee shop which sells nothing all kind of fishes but don't ask me where it is because I was being brought around by friends. It is opposite a mall and is a corner coffee shop and not in Nagoya, maybe batam hill.

thanks in advance Plenty of makan place around. Night life there will be a lot of places in Nagoya. To be safe, if you have local guide you can explore. Else try those in hotel pubs, and plenty of pub in harbour bay, I visited M1 @ harbour bay. quite nice place to hang out at night. For discoteque; unless you with local or veteran batam night life buddies, my advise is dont visit.

| Prefer golfing at Palm Springs and Tering Bay.
And then spending the night chatting with friends over whiskey at the hotel lounge.
Palm Springs greens condition is very good now.

| Hi,
Went to Tering Bay for a round yesterday.
We took the 8.00 am ferry and arrived before 8.00 at Tering Bay , great ! The arrangement was very efficient/smooth, from ferry terminal to Batam and back.
The weather yesterday was great, cloudy and cool ! The course was well maintained and overall a great experience !
Would be going back for sure !

| Hi SmOckxY,
My friend did the booking directly with Tering Bay, just get their contact from their website and give them a mail and all is set.
I'm not working for them , its just my own experience to share.

Otherwise $555 seems like a good 3 day 2 night escape. I will say Southlink is not cow grass but Batam hill and Indra putri yes but both courses are well manage so I would say it better than Palm villa in JB ..if I need to compare. Food wise breakfast hotel included ( I stay in Harmoni) lunch golf course I will say is good. Dinner we went wy wy for seafood just get a cab .. Nightlife never visit as I am too tired and looking forward for the next game..

| If cowgrass is well kept and cut properly I think it can be quite playable..but if it's like those in JB then it's almost like playing in the rough even when on fairway..
But of cos I tend not to play on courses with cowgrass on fairways..didn't know Batam Hill is also cowgrass course..
