| Hi guys
im considering a switch from kbs tour to the c-taper shafts.
Want a lower trajectory mainly.
Anyone have experiences trying both?
Thanks | |

| I'm using KBS Tour. Tried C-taper before. Felt much stiffer, prob due to the different kick point. IMO, not easy to use. | |

| It gives lower flight than the KBS tour, not much distance gain though. Still smooth like all the KBS shafts. | |

Depending on what sort of feel u like for your shafts, do go at it or real easy. KBS is known for their smooth shafts, no need to go hard at it. The C Tapers have pretty much the same feel as the Tours but lower flight which helps with control. The Tours had too much height for my liking. PXs known for their kick/snap, u can feel/ see the ball pop when u get at it. U need to get at the ball to load the shafts. If u can hit the ball consistently in the sweet spot, it's a great shaft. Else feedback is jarring to the bone with mishits. Would rather compare the c tapers with the pxi though, just a couple of shots with the pxis but I feel that it's not jarring with mishits. Hope that helps Btw gaming both c tapers and pxs

Btw gaming both c tapers and pxs Bro Sob knows his shafts. My 2 cents worth, the C Tapers feels smoother than the px. Also u can probably err on the stiffer side if u think u r in between flex. Ie if u think u need either a R or S, u could get a R+ or S even. For PX it's better to go softer ie start at a 5.0 which is already their R+. Both shafts r the creation of Kim Braly who is now with FST under the KBS label.

| hey guys,
silly question here.
for the c taper, did you find the ball stops any differently?
Id have thought lower trajectory means more roll, higher trajectory on the kbs tour would mean it stops better.

| injury better, shot 40 for 9 holes yesterday. i used the 7 iron which i changed to c taper twice, and both times i hit it well. ball fligh definitely lower. when it lands on the green it rolls a little more compared to my old shaft which goes higher and basically stops where it hands.
i placed an order for my whole set already. generally i like it quite a fair bit, feels like a practice swing when you hit it sweet. cant feel the ball at all.

| Good to hear youre recovering.
Eh 40 for 9 .... extrapolate and youre nearly done for the year you know....
Thanks for the feedback.
Although in my mind im thinking... could the c taper just be a stiffer shaft, but same weight?
lower trajectory basically due to lower torque from a stiffer shaft...

Id have thought lower trajectory means more roll, higher trajectory on the kbs tour would mean it stops better. Lower flight for me, slight more carry. Roll wise not noticeablely different. Think that your swing can dictate your roll out, have seen low trajactory flight with one bounce check.

| I used to play kbs tours and when i tried the c tapers they had almost the same ball flight. so it's individual. | |

| I am currently using the C-Taper 95 (R-flex). One of the best steel shaft i have ever encounter.
I am not good at describing but all i can say is it gives a very smooth swing n feel, compared to V90, NS Pro 950, and PX 5.0 which i had tried previously.
I have tried the KBS Tour as well.. To me, i cant really feel the difference for both. But if i was only given a choice, i wld pick the C-Taper 95... Maybe due to I am a preferred lighter swinger? One last comment, the C-Taper 95 makes the overall weight of the club more manageable imo.
2 cents... | |

| For those that prefer a lighter shaft for c tapers See below link

Looks like a PX95 challenger
