There is plenty of Fairway, you just cannot see it from the Tee Box........

| Congratulations to the winning team! Today's singles did not favour them as Malaysia definitely has more experience and full-time pros, but they made it happen.
I hope this is the first of many such Ryder Cup format tournaments that foster better ties between golfers in the region, kudos to the organisers, sponsors and Laguna for a well-run event.

| BTW, anybody playing at the sponsor game tomorrow ? Never played at Laguna before, heard that Classic course is a killer course...saw the highlights just now on Ch201, from the sight of the few holes, looks intimidating and I think the course is only for pros | |

| I think the course is not very spectator friendly. U can hardly see the players executing their shots unless u stand into the fairway. Best is to camp near the greens and see how punishing the greens are. I climbed the hilly grounds for 2 days, hope I have enough strength to play on tues | |

| I was there yesterday afternoon with my wife and kids. We reached about 1pm and I thought the tournament was over already. The place was quite empty and car park was aplenty in basement. Walked to Hole 12 and finally saw some actions. Agree that the place is not so spectator friendly. But luckily the staff offered to give us a ride back to clubhouse on their buggy . My girls enjoyed themselves following their coach (Marc K). Weather was perfect. Congrats Team Spore. | |

Imagine carrying the scoreboard up and down the mountains under the scorching sun. Good thing my flights both ended up at hole 16.

| Well Done Team Singapore... However, had mixed feelings after reading that Team Malaysia played the course for first time (they didn't have prior practice rounds?) and they struggled with inaccurate distances from course book... | |

| Everybody had at least a couple of practice rounds and walked the courses too. But yes, no home course advantage.
Btw, the volunteers like me had a round yesterday but off the white tees. As long as you don't get into the deep bunkers and roughs, it's ok.

The yardage books are accurate, and there are more than sufficient sprinkler yardage on the Course, Singapore were out there everyday preparing, if Malaysia did not then it is their own fault....

A bit harsh, Shorthitter But I agree, if the Malaysian team had the opportunity to practice but they didn't, it's their loss. But that's always the case when it comes to playing on someone else's home ground. And, Laguna is a course which punishes those who don't know the layout well. Anyway, I'm glad that the tournament got started and hope it continues
