MGK June Medal at OCC

Are the MGK monthly medals worth going to? Just got my HC and my next objective is to break 100 regularly so I'm looking to play as much as possible.

I see MGK has an OCC game in June. Is it worth $130?

If you're a MGK member, wouldn't be cheaper to play by getting the golf pass?

Yep. $80 and change I think. But I'm looking to round the learning experience by joining certain events, volunteering for certain events, join the next R&A Rules class the SGA organizes, etc.

Perhaps I've just answered my own question...

Playing monthly medals you get the following:

a) Goodies bag

b) Play wth "buayas" and "buayees"

c) Enjoy the experience of a tournament.

d) Learn more about the Rules & Regulations of golf when in certain situation that is not the same as in social golf.

e) Make new friends.

Etc, etc, etc.

+ Dinner (sometimes with lunch) & lucky draw. My son enjoyed that cos many quite golfers, food quite good and also the companionship. Goodies bag items are always about the same.
