Wtapz ... Pls tell us what you want to sell here

You notice that all the posts are about selling clubs. Sad.

GR used to organise golf games every month, not anymore. I miss those days.

I have gone through Wtapz posts ........I don't see anything wrong leh.

Really appreciate input from members of all categories. It goes on to show how all members treasure the existence of GR forum, amidst the game the we all love.

Although my first question in the 1st page was more on the "speed of clocking 50 post" (and not objecting it, in fact from the past similar topic, no one had ever object this min requirement including me), I initially thought i found a very reasonable and fair answer from Pushslice (in 2nd page) that as long as the newbies post are interesting, useful and information, 50 post within a day would be deem legitimate, although unlikely.

But this topic had since chalked up to 4 pages, circling and emphasizing the "need of min 50-post" instead, which no one had disputed or objected from the beginning of this post (check again in the 1st page )

I can't help thinking that i may be the one who had flamed up this topic in the first place, and for that I would like to offer my sincere apology to all who had chip in their opinion, constructive argument and angle of observation (although I only selectively browse through the short ones).

i have no objection to anyone posting 50 on 1st day.... its the quality of the post i questioned

clearly after the 50 posts..... his irons came on sale on the marketplace

do i doubt him having another agenda on this forum?? u bet i do....

Bro, there's no need to apologize. Your opinions were sincere and well intended. There's no harm in that at all. If GR doesn't accept candid feedback, then what's the point. Obviously, however, there are limitations to what GR can and cannot do. It's impossible to please everyone at every end of the spectrum. I guess what GR is looking for is a balance and sometimes, that tips in favour of others but I'd like to believe that it all balances out in the end.

I have no issue with the 50 post min for a WTS thread. I’m sort of a lurker enjoying the threads and I don’t post much coz if I have nothing useful to say, I keep quiet. I see this requirement as a relatively effective way of blocking off people who just want to come here just to sell off their stuff, though there are the few hardworking black sheep that spam 50 worthless posts. I find them an irritant, especially digging up all the old posts and stuff and pushing down all the newer and interesting topics. I believe our caddies are right to just sound them out and give them a warning. Just want to say thank you for trying to keep this forum clean.

Maintaining a forum like this takes time and don’t come cheap. I have joined another site (non golf stuff) that actually sets up a pay wall where subscribers pay a monthly subscription to go in and read articles as well as hold discussions. It really helps to keep away the spammers as well as help in the maintenance of the site. Not too sure if it is feasible here and it may turn GR into a sort of a private club though haha.
