Golf insurance coverage.... Empty
PostSubject: Golf insurance coverage....   Golf insurance coverage.... I_icon_minitimeThu May 02, 2013 6:54 pm

Hi Guys.

Recently played a round at Tanjong Puteri.

Great game but my cartbag came loose and went crashing down on the cart path.

Minor damage to Driver, 3 Wood and some irons. Even though I can live with the cosmetic damage... The accident should not have happened.

The question is "Can I claim for the damages?"

Please advise.

Thanks

Yes. Your insurance company will require proof of this incident. Also look thru the terms and conditions of your policy. If I am not wrong, you can claim up to a maximum value per club and you will need to show proof of purchase of the clubs that were damage. Good luck.

The acid test of the quality of an insurance policy is when we are in the unfortunate position of having to claim on them. This is when the insurance company is put into a position where it is being asked to pay you money rather than the other way around. How well a company handles this determines the real worth of their insurance policies that are being sold.

There is usually also a small excess. Eg. First $50, you have to pay.
Then there is a maximum value per club as well, as flamer0454 put it aptly.
