| Hi guys,
I have been in SHA for a while and during this time, i have seen quite a fair amount of "精品“ golf clubs for sale.
it seems that these iron sets all have 1 point in common.
there is almost always a white line groove that is either as long as the normal grooves or 2/3 the size of the normal groove lines on the iron
i'm not sure whether my observations are correct or i'm totally out of context so wanted to check it out with the experts here.

| Dun think it is so obvious. It is so nicely done that an untrained pair of eyes will not be able to tell the difference. There was a web page that showed the real vs fake miz jpx800 iron photo on close up. Even so I had a hard time spotting the difference. Better players may be able to tell the club is fake after hitting a few balls. They told me, it just feels odd. So without bringing it to a professional or club fitter, there remains a mystery to us.
So the rule of thumb is that always buy from well known sources and if the price is too good to be true it is most likely so.

| i was hoping that it was that easy to spot unfortunately now with all these clubs coming in, it creates a false economy in the 2nd hand golf market. plus these guys here are getting smarter - real clubs are sold with the fake ones at the same stores - you can tell by the different in pricing fake clubs are being sold at a discounted pricing of up to 50% off due to Special sales period. its impossible to even tell the real thing anymore. | |

| I used to have a set of Honma, or at least I think I had a set of Honma. A CEO of a company gave them to me. How generous of him! I kept them well and took them to range a couple of times. I found out after 1 yr on a visit to the Den that these are made in China, design in China, Honma. I think the more branded the clubs are, the more counterfeits you can expect. | |

| I got to know a boss of a company and he was in the mist of shifting office, so he gave up his HONMA clubs.
I did not think anything about it. However, during my second range session, I became suspecious because it is no way a forge club should feel what I am feeling....Long short of it...FAKE...

| well i'm very much against these fakes ones especially through my own personal experience. even though at my beginner level, probably cannot differentiate fake and real clubs my ex boss gave me a set previously as well to get me started on golf. so there i was on the range - happily swinging away on the 2nd floor when...thunk! the head of the 7iron had broken off on the follow through swing and fell onto the webbing in front !! when i related the story to him - he advised me that he had actually bought them dirt cheap at a fake store in china ! | |

| giving someone fake club is like giving a false hope. you thought your boss is very kind etc. but it all shatters when you find out that it is fake. point is: if your boss is too kind to you, dont trust him | |

| Yes! Fake clubs are dangerous! My TM CGB driver head flew more than 50m at bt Batok Rng. The eBay seller refused to refund me despite ackowedging it's fake! I track him down to his working place & shame him... But still didn't get my $ back. So let's exposed any known fakes! | |

| apparently quite a lot of ebay sellers are getting their clubs from china as well so buyer beware even if your ebay seller hails from the USA
plus the chinese are getting much better at marketing/hoodwinking in english sites to the ang mos
