- The driving range operators should consider installing solar panels to power their lights at night thereby saving electricity costs. 24hr ranges will then become possible.
Not possible... The floodlight used in most range are at least 1KW and we are talking about minimum of 20 of them. So the total power required may need a huge solar panel of maybe half the size if the range... Plus to keep the power on reserve, the battery is another huge cost...

| maybe the the range just need lights shone on the specific landing targets. landing the ball anywhere else outside these target circles will be regarded as failed | |

| This can be inspiration. But it is feasible in Tokyo with a super dense population and where people work too hard!

| Driving ranges don't need to be FULLY LIT.... Just the target areas.
Agree that most should adopt solar energy as a power alternative. It may cost a little more to install but in the long run, operators will save.
Driving range owners.... why not TEST this theory.... Open your range for 24 hours for a month. If you see a clear profit, try it for a second month.
I think that Punggol or Toa Payoh would be ideal candidates.

| who would expect indoor soccer to open 24 hrs last time? Until some futsal operator tried it and now it's earning big bucks... Need a range operator to start the ball rolling 24hrs. Who knows it might bring more bangs?
Looking forward to 24 hr golf range....haha

| Yes, I wish there was a range that closes early, early in the morning! Can't sleep or troubled, whacking 100 balls should provide enough remedy. | |

| It alway that easy and simple coming from consumer's perspective. But are we willing to pay premium price for such luxury timing? Looking at the recent Bermuda grass premium driving range set up, there will be many different opinions and no end. | |
