Rule is rule. He had be warn on the 12 and 13 hole. And also being time. Think is fair.

After his round, Guan spent a considerable amount of time in the scoring booth. Interviewed afterward by ESPN, Guan said he agreed with the penalty. "I respect the decision they make," he said.

Guan said that on the shot in which the penalty was assessed, he changed his mind on club selection and that it took him "just over 50 seconds" to take his shot. Asked if he was aware of the rule, Guan said, "I know the rules pretty good."

At his age, he s gain experience, recognized by Tour pros n earned respect fr being honest, gentleman in admitting his mistake.

i think the chinese media is crying conspiracy and many in the circle feels the same....nevertheless, let the record stands that the youngest to ever make cut at the US Masters is an Asian. like he say, he will not win this year, but he will one day.

kudos to the boy who is really tough and handle himself beyond his age.

Believe he will make his mark in the golfing world, one day.
I would not be surprise to see even younger chinese players making headlines as more/younger players get exposure to this game.

I have 2 wishes for this Masters:

1. See shorthitter Luke D win it,

2. See 14 yo Guan play an under par round.

I love how the crowd is ready to roar its approval. I love how the other players keep congratulating him. Fantastic kid.

Poor Guy. Was penalized one stroke...

Tiger was penalized two stroke penalty for replaying the ball too far back ...

Guan is now +12 after 13th into the final round ...

Many are waiting eagerly for Tiger to tee off at 2.10AM ...

It's ponders me sometimes why Asian male golfer doesn't have the success comparable to their LPGA counterparts.... All the best of GTL to break this trend! Perhaps a first Masters winner from Asia?? Go go go.
