Hi folks,

I'm getting a maid for my apartment soon and I want to install an indoor CCTV/wireless camera to make sure that she isn't up to anything when no one's at home. This is all the more important when she's left alone with the baby. Anyone have any experience in this area? Any recommendations to make?

All feedback would be appreciated Smile

TIA!

Jason,
You can use the Wireless camera. I used linksys wireless cam last year, but it doesn't last long. Somehow it's dead after 6 months of usage, and my linksys router is so unreliable nowadays, the connection always drops.

I suggest probably you invest in a good Dlink router probably this one, DIR 855, and get this camera for the surveillance. Probably you have to invest in 2 or three cams to cover all the blind spots.

But seriously, I think leaving the baby with the maid alone is a good idea, unless you trust her 100%...

I assume you mean "not a good idea."

I don't think it is either. I don't plan to leave her alone with the child but let's say I'm at work while my wife's at home on maternity (but resting), then I'd like to be able to see what the maid does etc.

Yup, sorry about the missing "Not". Your wife will work after her maternity leave ?

She may. Will wait and see what happens but we may have her aunt live with us for a while to watch over the baby and the maid.
