Any regular SPF 100+ sunscreen will do.

Alternatively, don't play golf at all if you are scared.

I recommend this.
http://www.affectus-sg-shop.com/design/affectussg/eng/index.htm

It is slightly on the high side, but it is totally non-oily and I find it great!

100+ SPF? Seriously?

I'm no expert but for Asians (darker skin), about 30-50 SPF is enough. But then again, more can't hurt, can it? Smile

Found this might be helpful.

Seem like SPF 100 is overkill, wonder why during NS times nobody used sunblock??? scratch

Other than sunscreen, a good pair of sunglasses is good to prevent cataract.

Both EU and FDA limit the maximum SPF value on sunscreen labels to "50 +" because there is not sufficient data to show that products with SPF values higher than 50 provide greater protection for users than products with SPF values of 50. Besides, it is a measure of protection against UV-B only. Sunlight also contains UV-A that contributes to skin damage and aging..

i wear glasses yet didnt get prescription sunglasses. so eyes not protected. i got to switch to contact lens so that i can have many choices of sunglasses. too chicken to do lasik, anyway near the age where long sightedness will kick in soon.

i put spf 50 sunblock on face, neck. for arms i use sleeves which is surprisingly comfortable, not hot.

Jokes aside, I make it a point to use sun block to cover exposed skin whenever I golf and even during cloudy days. I hope to continue golfing for a long time so it makes sense to stay healthy. I prefer sun block that does not sting your eyes and those that are not too thick or greasy. SPF 50 is good enugh for me.

Read somewhere that SPF 30 is all that is needed for Singapore cos we have lots of cloud cover that block the UV.

Maybe in Aussie land you require higher.

Can't give the source of where I read. It was sometime back online. Can't remember.

There are sunscreen available orally (in tablet form) ... But am not certain if it is effective ...

I have using oral sun protection for many years. It has been effective in minimizing the after sun effects and discomfort. Try it and you would know the difference after 18h in the hot sun.

Not doubting you but want to learn more. Does spf affect how dark you become? I have heard of tanning lotion with high spf.

I think spf only blocks uv but not the level of tan.

Can anyone comment or verify?

i have no idea bro but i believe SPF correlates with how much UVB it can filter out which causes sun burn. UVA is the one that causes tanning.
perhaps, UVA protection was missing in the sunblock i used in the changing room....i didnt get sun burn, just looked darker.
