I tried both the tour and 460cc versions in the driving range. Sound wise, it's ok, quite similar to my Adams Speedline Tech. I find that the tour version hit more solidly then the other. I was comtemplating to buy, but distance is not noticeably longer than my Adams, which I tried 9.5* vs my Adams at 11.5*.

| Managed to try both the drivers, irons and hybrids. Sound wise, the hybrid wins hands-down. I always find that Nike drivers feel harsh...hard. Distance wise, it is definitely not further than my current driver. I quite like the VR Pro Limited Edition driver though. As for the irons, nothing to shout about. Hit a few shots and put it back immediately.
I may consider getting the hybrid when the price is right.

Own driver (R11): 220m Nike driver: 215m Definitely living up to the "Covert" name - Covertly reducing your driving distance

They didn't really say too much when I finished! A mate of mine tested it against the R9... once again the Covert was shorter!

A mate of mine tested it against the R9... once again the Covert was shorter! alamak looks like their publicity stunt has backfired. now the word may spread that the covert is in fact shorter than other models (older models in fact). of course i don't expect Nike to publish the negative results, or even give a statistical breakdown of the percentage of golfers who actually gained / lost distance with the covert

| Nevertheless it was a brave move and people actually took up the challenge
There are some of us who will not bother to attend any nike golf demo day
But because of this challenge, people went to try out their clubs.
So, nike has a win in getting people to try out their clubs.
As with any brand, their clubs are not for everyone. So they win some and lose some.

| Agree, it was very brave. And despite my "loss", the leader for the night by the time I got there had increased their distance by 20m. | |
