Hi guys,

Planning a family trip to melaka in April.

Was wondering if anyone has any recommendations?

Nice resort for a golf nut, and some facilities for a young family?

Thanks

Farmosa will be a good ideal to go.

The best course in Melaka is Tiara Golf & Country Club, coz it's a PGA tour course. The last time I've been there only male caddies. Next is Orna which is nearby Tiara, course like Palm Villa and female caddies. At Orna u can even see Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan's bungalow. Both offers bungalows for rent. The next within the area is Ayer Keroh but walking course aka commando course. I believe there is a promotion to play all three courses. But if for family, best off is A'Farmosa, u can golf and the family can enjoy the number of facilities there but a bit ex. BTW A'Farmosa offers China caddies.

Usually when I visit Melaka, I will play Tiara Golf & Country Club, their condition is much better.

My next choice would be Orna if you wish to have buggy on fairway.

If you are staying in Melaka town, it will be troublesome to travel out to Farmosa and back again after golf. Better to stay in Farmosa with the family and play there.

I mean the water Theme park.
Other than that, there are safari wonderland, cowboy town etc. But i never went to the place, just drop them and go golfing myself.

Tiara not bad but Orna is a bit round down.
From Melaka town(Holiday inn opp Mahkotar) to A.Famosa takes about 45mins (to move on in the morning). drive to Ayer Keroh toll, go towards KL E2. first right turn should be Alor Gajar and turn into it. Directional sign is very clear for you to reach there and take about 10 to 15min from the toll to A.Famosa

Hope will help you.

Tiara is the nicest course there. The only drawback is that buggy is not allowed on course. The worst course I've played on there is Ayer Keroh. The condition of the fairway and greens is terrible.

Thanks for the input guys.

Looks like quite a few choices!

Had a disappointing experience in Pulai springs, but not willing to give up on Malaysia resorts just yet!

Any more insights very welcome.

woodlands (difficult)

meadows

lake (not so difficult)

woodlands - tall trees flanked both left n right of fairway, basically a lost ball zone if u cant find fairway

Haha.... Kidding. Got a 3 ur old daughter. Just one kid.

Want to bring her to melaka, have an idea of what our Malaysia is like, but of fun, theme parks, pools, some history. Wife gets shopping and spa.

And I play 36 holes.

+1

You can stay at Sunway or Glenmarie. Staying at Sunway will give you better chances of getting out to have a game or two. Can play Glenmarie or Saujana.
