Football boots instead of Golf shoes?

Maybe for me the real difference between golf shoes and others is the waterproofing. But even then, old golf shoes still leak. Even the best of them.

Maybe the real difference is that golf shoes are created for golf.

I just bought a pair of Umbro turf shoes from Queensway for $48. Went to hit balls with them and it feels good with good grip compared to my usual trainers

GD offer a proper golf shoe at very cheap price of S$39-49. ie: Slazenger/ Hitec etc.
Its just a brandg choice.

unless u can find a pair of soccer turf shoes that look like proper golf shoes, chances are that you will not be allowed to use them on golf courses. the umbro ones you bought are probably not going to pass the test especially since umbro does not make golf shoes and is known for soccer boots.

a safer bet would be adidas. but u can probably buy a proper spikeless adicross for about the same price as a turf shoe. so what the heck?

Luke, the search for something new and groundbreaking has always been the common man's goal to differentiate themselves and this may just be a start to a new craze. Whether its gonna kick off, practical or even cost effective we will not know until we actually try it out..

You have started something with paint filling of clubs and restoring them. To many it will get u oohs and aahs but to some find it impractical. I applause every new ideas that come along the way regardless as it shows progress and deep seated thoughts turn to action. Myself, i am a lazy bugger so dun expect me to do any of these.. Thats why our world is a colorful mixed bag of sorts..
