A dear friend graced me with a VIP pass and I spent an enjoyable and most memorable day Tiger watching.
Tiger caused a stir as he entered. Then he proceeded to hit a couple of putts before going to the range. After warming up with wedges and irons, he pulls out the driver.
I know you want the good stuff, so lets get right on it.
Tiger hitting driver.
More videos to follow as I upload them...

Cut pitch with an iron to warm up.

Tiger hitting wood. Always wanted to write that.
You know he is pleased with the shot because there is a twirl at the end.

The impeccable swing of 2008 Masters champion, Trevor Immelman.
Check out that spine angle at the finish.

Charlie Wi's swing, looks simple, and highly repeatable.

It's my pleasure indeed, especially if the videos are enjoyed and found useful by many.
I used my trusty Canon Legria HF R18 high def camcorder. It has a high degree of zoom, which is handy in situations like these. In subsequent models, Canon reduced the zoom factor, which is unfortunate.
To avoid annoying the marshalls, I pick a spot quite far away, put up my tripod, and zoom in. It allows me to get almost face-on tee shots. I'll try to post up some of these videos later.
Then I edit using the Adobe Premiere Elements software that my notebook came with.

Lets look at the languid rhythm of 2011 Fedex Cup champion Bill Haas with his long limbs. Quite a hypnotic sight, the way he pounds the driver without much apparent effort.

25-year old Brian Harman, turned pro just this year, has already won US$1,135,826 in prize money so far.
And look at how pure his swing is. Just beautiful.
He fires so fast, it took me 3 times before I could catch it completely on camera.

Hi Lee,
Thanks for the video and hope you have a enjoyable time watching Tiger and the rest. I watch the event on golf channel, it appear that no roll at all on the fairway and the green was fast. At 12, I hear ?

This is as close as I'm ever likely to get to the 14-time major champion as he crosses over to the chipping green.
The burly bodyguard spoke commandingly (when you're that large, anything you say sounds commanding) and the crowd stood back behind the ropes to allow clear passage.
I noticed that after only 20 minutes at the putting green and the range, Tiger has worked up quite a sweat in the humid Malaysian morning.

Tiger hitting a couple of chips minutes before teeing off. Note the height he gets.

Hi brother Slicer.
You're most welcome. It was a hot and muggy day, but that did not prevent me from having a most memorable experience. Seeing Tiger up front and in person was something else. Watching him hit shots at the range, especially the driver, was a treat. After watching tons of his swing videos, in the flesh was so deja vu, only better.
Most of all, he generates a swirling, moving, human mass that reacts to everything he does - quite a sight to behold.
Yes, the fairway was soggy, as my muddy shoes will attest. I don't know exactly what the green speed was, but judging from the roll of the putts, it was right up there.

My apologies in advance for the shaky camera work. I had just finished sprinting ahead to the fairway to capture Tiger's opening tee shot from the front. No chance to set up the tripod.
That's when I looked back and noticed the size of the crowd. And the roar as Tiger's name was announced.
He opened with an iron and found the narrow fairway safely. I recalled when I played here I pushed my driver into the foliage. Duh, now I know better.
The crowd kept moving with Tiger to each hole, and seemed to swell as the day wore on.

This isn't the Mines driving range is it? Looks like they opened up a field opposite or next to the driving range?

Yes, it's the Mines. Not the regular driving range hitting bay area, but a fresh part of the field for the purpose of this tournament.

That is so cool, to see Tiger hitting a cut into the wind, hole 15 if I'm not mistaken. Thanks, bro TourSwing. I know it wasn't easy to pick that spot and wait patiently to get a fine shot like that. When the crowd comes as Tiger arrives, no chance to get such a good spot. If I'm not mistaken, since Tiger wore black on day 2 and pink on day 3, that was from day 1?
Hole 15 is a short par 4 which was great fun to play. When the wind blows hard from the lake, it tests one's courage. I took driver and hit it over the lake, gambling that the wind takes it back. Scary for me, took guts and luck.
Thanks for sharing.
I am burning up my broadband quota very fast with all these uploads. Just added 1 Gb last night and it's gone already. Added another Gb to continue. Tiger is paid a couple of million US dollar just to appear because he generates so much marketing value for the sponsors. Apparently Tiger also generates business for telco broadband as well.

Hole 2, 162m, Tiger attacks the flag.

Hole 3 is a relatively short par 5, 482m, where birdie is almost like a par at this level.
Tiger attacks the green with an iron on the 2nd shot and it rolls off to the left fringe because the green is fast.
From there, it's non-trivial to generate enough spin to get it to stop close at this green speed.
