| i recently took my r9 shaft off, and fitted it into a cobra head.
i was wondering where the adaptor sleeve went, when the guy who changed it for me said it couldnt be re-used. is this true?

| No disrespect to your club fitter, but it really depends on the skills. So, it could be true that he damanged it when removing.
But I know it can be salvaged and reused from my experience. Yes, it is a rather delicate sleeve, but with the right skills and tools, it can be reused.

| actually this was done about a month ago. I got my girlfriend (non golfer) to head down to a random shop at far east to change it for me.
i dont know why i only suddenly thought about it, but now it seems ... that theres a good enough suspicion why i didn't see the sleeve come back after that.

| now you know... lesson learnt - never send a girl to do a man's job! Just kidding bro, but there are lots of good fitters around with proper certificates and right set up. They can salvage your TM sleeve next time. its not cheap, a shame it couldn't be salvaged. But no point crying over spilled milk, I guess. | |

| I also did ask a fitter before and he told me that the plastic top part will melt when he pull out the old shaft by heating it. I think the sleeve will still be usable but you will have very ugly looking plastic part on top.
Any idea for Callaway Razr Fit adaptor? Can be pulled out and re-used?

| When there's heat involved, there's always a chance of damaging the adaptor. But it still come down to your fitter skills. | |
