Need info on Airline golf bag charges

I am flying with Singapore airline to China. Does anyone know if SQ charge for golf bag?

As I could remember they do not. I am stand to be corrected though.

For budget airline, they will charge. Either you select sports equipment option if available during online ticketing or select extra baggage for 25 kg (unless you carry big staff bag with super heavy clubs)

SQ does not charge golf bag as separate sports baggage, but your total baggage including golf bag must not exceed free allowance (20kg for economy class). If exceeded, you have to pay extra charges by weight.

I travelled to China on SQ with golf bag several times over the last 12 months. No problem so far. Just remember not to overload your golf travel bag if you are using one. My friend was asked to remove items from the travel bag when it was too heavy.

There's no charge provided your golf bag doesn't exceed 15kgs

Scoot charges 50 each way and I think tiger charges 35 each way..

Hi, SQ is free 20kg for Economy class.

For SQ I sometimes go up to 25 kgs for golf bag and 1 piece of luggage.If u r business class or Kris Flyer Gold or PPS u get to carry 40kgs.
