| The moment something is a "limited edition/release," people will go crazy for it. Looks pretty normal to me though but I do like its minimalist approach. | |

| USD$200 for this model. USD$225 - 250 for their previous ones. I have 2 that I posted earlier that are being refurnished. Got them at a great deal. | |

| I refinish my wedges here:
http://www.theironfactory.com/
Jim is a great guy and he calls me personally and confirms that what I want to do with my clubs are in place. I told him I wanted more of a brush satin look too.
I will post pictures when they come back in ard 3 weeks time.

| U mean the spin milling? I never checked. I just told them to re-groove them. There are other places that does re-milling. I can look them up. | |

| All Vokeys are cast. They are proven on the PGA tour and have worked great for all that I know who use them. | |

| hmmm i've tried forged and cast wedges and somehow i do find the forged ones much softer. but that being said maybe i thought it was softer and hence it influenced my conclusions.. maybe i should conduct a blind test.. | |

| Guys, great thread and interesting to see all your comments on wedges. I thought I'd just throw in a comment on forged vs cast as we get asked this quiet a bit.
Forging and Casting is just a process. They are two different ways to make a club and each has pros and cons. The material used in the process will be the main reason why a club has the feel its has. Many people think anything cast is hard and and anything forged is soft. If you use Mild Carbon Steel in the casting process you can get a very good feeling club and that is what we do with Vokey wedges. The groove is specially cut in after wards and thats what gives Vokey's that great all round performance.

| Nice. Somehow for wedges, I find it ironic that I choose clubs that doesn't necessarily have to be forged. I just love the way Vokeys perform and the consistency of its ballflight and spin that made me stick with them. They also sit great at address and have a ton of grinds to choose from. | |

Hopefully we get Bob out here to SE Asia one day because the man is so passionate about his craft and such a knowledge on the wedge that I think those hard core golfers would love to hear him speak. Also, what I probably should have added is that mild carbon steel is what is used in forgings, the grades differ slightly but the point is that the process (forged or cast) is not the "be all and end all" of feel.

| and i guess feel is based largely on the individual's own preferences. that being said, i still love the look and performance of the vokeys. i have a 54* and i'm currently looking for a 60*. | |

You bet it is. Feel is very subjective. Glad you like the Vokey's, we appreciate your support.

| Was away when the Mailman came on Boxing Day. Well, they finally arrived. For the before pics, its HERE I like the new plating. The satin finish is very similar to my Mizuno irons now. Also, my gamers came back like new. Here is my gamer. I sent it in as I took a huge chunk off the toe hitting a rock during my game in NSRCC last year. Missed it so much: My proto PW also looks just like new: Faces of all the wedges look just as new: Deciding if I wanna wear off my current tourstage LW 1st before I go back to my gamer. The clubs look just too pretty to be played but I know I will eventually. | |

| Thanks Paul. I think I might finally put those CC wedges to play but the spin the current wedges provide for chipping is really addictive. | |
