How soon after donating blood can one play golf?

Does anyone know how soon after donating blood (which is a good thing) can one play golf?

(And no silly remarks about blood sucking vamps / buayas here, ok?)

at least 2 weeks to be safe

i think as long as you consume enough calories after the blood donating process, there isn't any time frame to follow, at least i didnt... cos i once donated blood in the morning and went for lunch then played golf...

I was told that you need to rest for a day before doing any sports if you donate blood.

But if you are playing with mloy, after being drained of blood, you can take a mug of beer and can continue again....

The next day?

I go gym in the evening after donating in afternoon. Haven't died yet... Dont think golf would kill

I'm thinking of donating blood in the afternoon and then play golf the morning after. Not sure if it's a good idea.

It's individual Sunny but when I asked my friend once but he told me that the nurse there told him to rest one day... I guess that is standard SOP answer from them.

Donate in the afternoon and played next day should not be a problem. I personally did that myself. Just take in lots of fluid

That is what I tot as well. Depending on individual....once feel ready; go.

I think it also depends where the blood donation drive is held; if it is at golf club, the result would be different.

Maybe landing onto an aircraft carrier that is in the middle of nowhere?

@TS, I don't think you really need a break after blood donation in order to play golf but why can't you plan it such that the two activities don't happen on the same day? Unless you are using blood donation as an excuse to get the afternoon off so that you can golf?

Nah, diff days but less than 24 hours in between so I was just a bit concerned.

Just down a big hearty meal and can play golf next day already.
MAke sure you have good kaki next to you though, in case you faint
