Inter-Forum Competition GR (SG) Vs MyGolf (MY)

Hi all,

Our friends from Malaysia (MyGolf.com.my) has proposed a friendly with our forum. Format has yet to be decided. Should we appoint a captain and start our training?

Guaranteed win... or at least, a permanent ban from entry into Malaysia for us.

We probably have a few categories and format. We'll iron out the details of the competition.

Since he's basically been playing with almost everybody in this forum..

First must register. Than must go for qualifying round, than must play 2 days 18 hole, if make cut than you can represent GR team. Hahaha....

Yes, the GR polo project will look nice for this tournament.

Unfortunately, i am not good enough to be in the team. Can I carry the water since I also know some friend over in Mygolf ?

I vote and68low for captain too. With his skills and knowledge, he is easily qualify.

Send all the 18 hcappers (of varying strengths) ...

before you guys jump the gun, think that everyone is interested and start volunteering everyone else but yourself... why dont you guys start a list of interested people first with the people actually putting their own names?

just came back from a matchplay with malaysian team (not the forum obviously). It's quite stressfull and intense played between similar handicap team and its very fun.

I suggest the same format 2 - 2, matchplay best ball. Then you can strategize between yourself on whether you are going aggressive or playing it safe..

My 8 cents

Capt Low for capt and Slinger/Derek for vice captains.

Have Q school over a few gr games to audition team, find who has good form.

Allow the captain 4 picks.

Have both Premier Div and A-B div teams. Put all strong 18s on the A-B team

Shud make it to 2 divisions, then more get to meet and play.
If both keep choosing the best players.....end up Mardan Mamat v.s. Danny Chia.....
