| @IGT, thanks for the link.
I do have a question regarding how one should grip the club. I think most golfers will apply a forward lean for irons at setup, thus should the shaft and the left arm run in a straight line?

No prob, just sharing of info! Hope it will help many as it has helped me a lot. I think they should. Left Arm and shaft should not break at address and impact. FYI, I am not a teaching pro, and have unorthodox swing. So, again, check out the same site. I have yet to find a better site than this. http://perfectgolfswingreview.net/AddressSetup.htm

| Thanks
Grip is driving me nuts at the moment. Coach says it's way too strong but correcting it is proving so difficult for me!

| @Sutos, there is no such thing as a wrong grip really. If you look at all the pros on tour, it will not be easy to find two persons with similar grip. Some grip it strong, neutral or weak. Some overlap, baseball and interlock. There is also a reverse overlap which one of my friends' uses and he is a low single handicapper. Thus, it is important to experiment and find out what suits you best and not go by text book style.
This also applies to your setup, stance, takeaway, rotation, downswing, follow through, etc. Use the text book as a starting guide and go figure what works for you. If you have a coach, he should be able to advise you and tweak these elements to work best for you.
In my opinion, text book style is only good for true beginners who are just starting out to learn the game.
