For those who eat in SENAI (JB)

Came out in the newspapers tonite...

A singapore registered HONDA STREAM was robbed in bright daylight at 7am despite the locals attempted to stop the robbers by smashing the windscreen.... but he still made it away in the stolen car....

This happened at SENAI town (at the morning market place)..... for those who frequent the place, please take care if you decide to have breakfast there.

Times are bad......

Or.... like me... drive a msia registered old car. when in JB.. then no one will bother about u. Sooooooo safe..... hehehe....

Hmm, does this took place outside the Palm Resort market.
I always have dinner after golf at a market, where they have wet and foodstore, big carpark with KFC as well.

Just be extra vigilant when u r in jb. A group of my frds just got robbed at gun point during dinner at one of the coffeeshops after golf a couple of mths ago. Also somewhere near palm resort.

That Senai morning market is full of people even at 6am. I was there last sat and ate at the one that selling only noodles. These robbers are really daring. How about parking at the golf course. Is it safe?

Oh the polis is around...just that they are waiting along the NSHW...waiting for bonus...

Do take care not only in Senai but in JB Sentosa too.

I had a personal experience once with three other of my friends. We are about to move off after breakfast but one of them decide to head to the loos... then for dun know what reason, my friend (driver) decide to hang outside his car without getting in and started chatting with my other friend. As he see our friend walking towards the car, he start his engine and tried to get into the car and at this time, one guy came from behind and stand in the way of closing the door... now he pulled out a stringe and said he got aids and is in need of money... we wanted to give him 100 RM but he say no way I want 100SGD... and that's like 7am and 4 car space away from the coffeeshop...

The polis there is simply hopeless...

I will try not to eat anywhere except at the club. The risk is really damn high and not worth taking in exchange for good food.

If it's so bad, why bother heading into JB in the first place?

Golfing in JB is more relaxing.... unlike sg courses packed like sardines.... must be punctual... gotta wait for front flights... or kena chased by the pros behind.... and the best of it all.... you pay twice or thrice the amount.... unless you play at prestigious courses like sentosa or SICC solely for members and guests.

Anyway, just be extra alert when in JB. Don't reveal your valuables or cash in public. Maintain low profile. This will reduce the possibilities of being a target to the robbers.

Let face it, our cars will always be a target irregardless of the country of origin. The question is being street smart and be self aware of the surroundings.

- Always be alert of your surrounding.
- Lock yr car all the time
- Dont step out unless it is necessary
- Observe the people around you
- Have yr car near to you, so that you can observe it
- Always move in a group
