| I reckon if u can do well here and keep the dispersions tight for your tee offs and dun go OB (lots of them @ SCC ) you can play almost anywhere in Singapore and the region...The retrofitting of the holes are very well done (heard its S$1M per hole) and the revamped cafeteria and changerooms are also well renovated! And sadly the green fees are all up too... | |

| Played there once, I think the course has become more scenic with some challenges in certain hole, I think there was one hole that you need to tee off over the lake with a slight dog right...that one is personal favourite.....overall, nice course, hopefully it maintained... | |

| Characteristics of SCC front 9 is to have good course management. Some of the holes favours long hitters.. but not necessarily advantage to all long hitters if u dunno how to place ur shots.. Short holes have keropok greens...and easily 3 -4 putts if u land at wrong side of green.. The back 9 is longer still.. cant wait for the full 18 :p | |

| Been a while since this topic was updated.
What's the latest on the new course? Heard that it was a hilly course?
Would appreciate some feedback and pictures (if available).
Looking for a game there since it's the only reciprocal I have from Msia.....

| Golfing quality I would say fantastic. Hope ever golfing safety is slightly lacking. Hole 13 --- if you were to slice the ball 20 metres right , it's 12 hole fairway. IMO , antthing within 50 m infront of the tee box is a kill zone . Pple on the right side of the 12th hole fairway must be on the lookout and be extra viligant . It's not about shouting fore any longer when you are so close to be tee box.
4/5 th hole. they took out the OB marker and players are deliberate hitting to the other fairway or using that to their advantage. V v dangerous.
There"s another hole when you have to cut infront of the tee box. There is no indication whether there are pple teeing off on the tee box. A blind corner. For guest who does not know the layout , it can be dangerous.
Maybe it's a new course therefore the trees have not fully matured so it's quite dangerous.

| Had a decent round there with one regular and some other friends. Tee off was 0820hrs and just managed to finish before the light rain started today.
Enjoyed the course, even while the features are tight fairways and steep uphill greens. Front 9 had some work done on the greens so, that's just a temporary setback. With the rain and all, can't say that I found it soggy.
Local knowledge of some of the holes is helpful for better course management. But overall, I can say that it's definitely a returning experience. Watching all the different types of helicopters land and take off is also an interesting atmosphere (Sembawang being a chopper base and all).
Bag drop staff are also very attentive and courteous. Managed to retrieve my sunglasses, and it was their initiative to check on missing wood head covers for me.
Price on a weekday is $91 for guests, $26 for members / reciprocals. Wonder how this will rate against NSRCC Changi and Kranji? Also haven't tried Seletar.
Anyhow, hope you guys have a good round there if you do try it out.
