The New Diamana B Series - Just landed

I saw the fool just now.. he was buying lunches for his group of colleagues.....

think he must be making a lot of $$$ from the bets....

Now no need to worry about milk money...

sold 3 shafts today but the delivery date is mid Oct and its on a reservation order basis....

the shaft is very special in the sense that it does not feel like a bamboo rod, rather it feels like the first generation blue board in terms of smoothness and the response is like a fubuki K, very responsive and definitely more lively than the KailLi which can be a tad too much body.

however the performance is the most surprising....spin rate, easily 300 to 500 rpm lower with lower launch even on the 10.5 degree driver and more roll compared to the Fubuki K.

the 60S i have installed measure 254 which probably feels like a 248. the torque is generous at 3.6 but combined with the 78-ton prepeg of the Dialead, its really a great combination of stiffness and flexibility at the right places. its like the performance of the Diamana X and the feel of a softer Fubuki or stiff Bassara.

the nearest competitive product will be the Tourad BB but the shaft is pale in comparison to feel and dispersion.

overall, i think this shaft is going to be very popular and should suit most golfers who low spinning shaft without the robust feel of most low spin shaft.

i know i keep harping on the feel - that is the sensational part and the result is just surprisingly tight and penetrating ball flights with a good amount of roll.

honestly Captain has gained distance since a year ago and this are some of the best stats on a driver that do not play to his preferred swing weight.

if you have not won money last week, i would not have let the 2 of them near the B.

Boss, how this compared to Diamana X?

performance is very similar but the shaft feels a lot livelier and slightly lighter.

both uses the Dialead 78 prepreg but of course the Diamana X is a showcase shaft hence its likely to have more micro multi-dimensional and directional micron layers. while the Diamana B plays to 3.6 degree torque in the 60S, the Diamana X plays to a good degree lower at 2.8 in the 60S.

price wise the Diamana B is also half the price of the Diamana X.

i like my current combination, but the new shaft very pretty.
