Hi all, we need your feedback for the forum. We have already implemented some of them such as having bigger fonts, including the underline for links etc.

We would look into the feasibility of the suggestions and implement it if it is possible and beneficial for us. So let us know what you think.

Serious suggestions please....Don't tell me to use XMM's pic as wallpaper or other funny stuff ok? Rolling Eyes

Let me start too:

Shotah highlighted to me that the pm function on the top right is not very obvious even when its blinking. Thus, for those not so IT savvy, you might miss it.

Suggestion is to either make the fonts bigger or to change the colour of the word 'pm' when you receive 1. This is relevant for those using pop-up blockers which doesn't enable a pop-up window to appear.

I think a golfing look & feel (i.e. theme) would be nice. The Cameron Collector Forum is nice, though tailored to suit SC lovers. It gives users (and interested guests) an environment which is both informative as well as pleasing to the eye Smile

Agree with technospaz... just thinking... since we are all such fun loving people, perhaps we can make the forum more colorful and chirpy? i am sure Mrs S70B will be glad to help us:)

the theme for the forum can be done but i am thinking of waiting for the contests to be over so that we design around the masthead and logos rather than the other way round.

We can colour the pm button if you receive one to make it obvious but this is also temporary. We can redesign the whole row (forum/faq/pm/log in etc) based on the theme of the forum in the future

I kinda like regular contests. I know - there is a cost factor involved but if we can get local sponsors, we may be able to get people interested to learn more, participate etc.

We may also want to expand the marketplace section. I think it should be split into at least 2 categories, i.e. WTS and WTB.

If we have connections with local sponsors, we can also consider promoting demo days, getting bulk discounts etc.

Easy there tiger.

Local Sponsorship rite now seems to me to be difficult as we are still a small community. Thank god for BFG at the moment to help us along and keep things fun. The mods have considered that already if the membership grows to a substantial number 1st. How substantial? I guess Moon and Sunny will decide.

As for WTS WTB - can la, just more work for me lor. Laughing

Don't need to shoulder all the responsibility. If help is needed, I'm happy to help as I'm sure many others are as well Smile

Thanks. 'Marketplace' is still manageable atm. Wink

Everyone here can help by spreading the word around and eventually, help source for other sponsorship too when the membership gets bigger.

My 2 comments.

1) Realise that I cant edit the calender to add the 16th Ikasu/Prototype game. Can add plans to allow public to add the game into the calender?

2) Some comment (like s70B's recent Marketplace comments) should be added as sticky post so that it can be there all the time and on the top of the list as Read me reminder. But careful not to have too many of these else it get a bit too crowded.

We should also have a "hot deals/promotions/lobang" sub-section where people can share whatever hot deals, promotions or "lobangs" they may have. We can also slot Mass Orders (MOs), if any, here.

Hi Sunny, You may want to add in a function with mass email to members only if there is any events. But in order that it will not be a spam mail, only the moderators can activate it.

That way, we can inform all members of any happenings. More exclusive..

we could do that but....

well...i personally find them very intrusive.

Anyway, it is a permission based feature. You need to activate yes too allow newsletter from the forum in your profile. Default is always no. Members got a choice if they wish to receive emails

Topic OFF

If we can have a golf bag tag, probably it will helps creating awareness of this forum. Secondly, while we are out on a course playing we can identify the members from this forum as many times we have not met up with each other.

Of course, this will be after the name and logo are being confirm.

Suggestion: Can we have the forum to default to 'Opt out' of watching the reply instead of the existing ' Opt-IN' ??? ie by default, it is opt out where one cannot watch the reply so as to not have the notifications in one's INBox.
