| Hi there, anyone able to advise the course condition and any tips on it? I'm playing there this friday and heard it's challenging.
Thanks to any advice given.

| it's a good course, but the green sometimes can be quite bad. I played there number of times, the green sometimes very good, sometimes unputtable at certain portion. Overall challenging due to the hidden waters around. 1st timer, unless playing with experience golfer or members, bring more balls. Hole 2 is the index 1 hole, par 4 very challenging to go 2 on because your tee shot very land is very favourable position. Hole 16, par 5 is another index hole, 2 or 4, another very challenging for those wanna go 2 on. Even 3 on, can be quite tough if your 2nd shot land in some awkward position on the right hand side. Hole 18, par 4, 2 on is possible but getting the ball to sit is hard. The green is beside the reservoir so many ball hit the green and roll right into the water. | |

| Thanks enwee for your advice!
Btw, when u refer to hidden water hazards, do u mean I can't see the water hazard at tee off box due to terrain or the terrain slopes towards the water hazard so the hazard is more in play than it seems (like how u describe hole 18) ?
This concept is quite interesting.

| It's tough if you are playing blue tee unless your drive is very straight. I am a hard hitter but wild lost average 4 balls per game, around 40 per month. My handicap is 16. Lake course is pretty nice. Enjoy your game | |

| The Hole 2 and 4 are preferably hit 3-wood of the tee . will give you around 150 -200 to the green depending on the wind as well as you distance of the tee . the hole 10 aim left side of the center bunker . and hole 12 - take one more club than you think as it's an island hole . the rest is straight forward . I played last week during the singapore amateur Open . the green are very slow there were between 7.5 to 8.3 in the week . very slow compare to kranji or warren which is between 9.0 to 10.3. the green doesn't roll is bounce everywhere .... except that the rough is pretty thick and heavy and the fairway is in good condition | |

- is warren still 9.0?
It was 10.3 during Warren Open 2 Weeks ago . by my guess the maintenance is cutting higher to let the green recover . it 'll be between 8.5 to 9.0 ... still good speed For RCC , many years back it was fast , but 3 -5 years ago . a maintenance superintendent advised to used chemical which he used too much on the green which kill the green as they turn yellow . i think the chemical company was own by his family or friends which kill very badly .they are trying to recovered all the green and replace with new one maybe is the next step
