Golfshot GPS

Good morning everyone. Just wanted to see if anyone here uses the Golfshot GPS app while playing. Was playing with a flight mate and he had very good feedback of this app.

I've been using it for a while now. Overall very solid app, but I think it's pretty expensive now (think I bought it when it was $4?). Definitely a buy if it's on sale at the app store

I am a fan of this app. Been using it for almost 2 years now!

I use it on my Samsung note as well. After a game of 18 holes, batt will be around 80%. Not so bad:) but it is indeed a very good app.

For those using it on iPhone, how is the battery life when using this app?

100% will be down less than 30%.... Consider a battery pack, I use it previously. Now using Sky Caddie, pretty hapi cept need to pay sub fee!

No you can sync the courses beforehand. If you are just using the GPS distance, no need data. However if u need the aerial views of the course map, that will need data plan. Not sure if there is a way to sync the actual aerial views before hand

Aerial view in Golfshot GPS is not always accurate. It was based on probably somekind of google map streetview thingy and appended. At least OCC one not accurate.

I have been using Golfshot for about a year now and i love it. Do realise that the version they sell for iphone and the version for android are both different. The iphone version is better in my opinion and also surprisingly the connection by 3g network seems to be more responsive and reliable vs gps. For those of you who wishes to go overseas and continue to use golfshot via data access, you may check with your telecom provider if they offer those temporary data access packages for 1, 3, 5 days.
