Hello! and.. any recommendations for coaches?

Hi all! Just started Golf not long ago through the Groupon deal. Gonna start getting some proper lessons soon! Been reading some threads here and it seems like a really friendly and nice community! lol lots of useful threads and funny golfers too.

My friend and I are more or less decided on JT Golfing because the Bishan Range is nearer to us. Any recommendations for other pros too?

Yes, we are in AMK/Upper Thomson. So we are trying to find someone at bishan or mandai.

If distance is really a concern and u are choosing between mandai and bishan, I would advise u to go to mandai. Not because the range is better, but rather there is a good pro there. Look for Mr Poh Ah Hai.

If distance is not a concern, there are some good coaches around. Personally I would recommend Allen Kelly from Laguna

Not too sure if JL is coaching at the moment. Rumour has it that she is coaching at OCC. Nut i am not too sure if that is true.

Distance is a bit of an issue because we don't drive. So imagine us lugging out stuff or cabbing so far away every lesson. lol.

Why don you give her a shot? I think for you, having a female coach who understand the troubles you have in learning this difficult sport can be beneficial. Moreover, she is a nice lady.

haha so many good coaches recommended. I should actually ask the reverse as to who to avoid!

Just to add to the list! Do try Balraj at OCC... great coach ! my family's been taking lessons and my son ..( now 12 years ) is still happily enjoying lessons from him.

Only 1 issue, his schedules are rather tight.... quite a few celebraties are also taking lessons from him!
