| Hi bros, just managed to break 90 after 1 year dry spell. and broke my record score after playing a 86 off RCC Palm course. Is it time to move on to blue tee? Or must i be consistently breaking 90 to play from blue tee? It is so hard to break 90.. I cant imagine how much effort and training I need to go through before having a chance to break 80... | |

| My personal opinion is to play from the tee box which lets you enjoy the game the most.
However, if you are always betting with your friends, then play more often from the tee box that you guys like to bet from.
No harm in trying the blue tees now, it will be a new experience.
And finally, and most importantly, CONGRATS on breaking 90!

| Well done congrats !!! That's a great break thru ! Once u have broken 90 you will improve by leaps and bounds.... I will go for the blue... It gives you a total different perspective of the game.. Of cos go play white once a while when betting with friends. Hahaha. They will be amazed at you.. Just remember what you did correctly during that 86 round and what you can improve on... Soon you be aiming for 85... | |

| wow, only 1 year already break 90. Well done bro. Now, is to arm to play consistent. Just play the blue tee if you like to. Nobody can suggest that you are incorrect in doing so.
Experience the blue tee, does not matter whether you can or cannot break 90 from the blue, is not important. Learning the experience will give you a strong fundamental in your skills and minds.
You might not believe me if I told that " playing from white does not mean that you will playing better from blue. It is also the other way round ".
I am sure you will find out soon .. enjoy the journey of golf but do not give up if any upsetting does matter in future. Stay patience and train hard if one wanted to improve.

| My kakis all broke 90 way before me and already moved on to blue tee. I'm the last survivor on the white tee.. My theory is that if I move to blue tee, I can nvr break 90.. Now that I've broken it, they will drag me to play blue tee next week. Anyone have good excuses I can give? Like blue is my unlucky color etc ? or should i just conform and lose betting money every week.. | |

You can play blue and still bet. Just ask for more strokes. On a more serious note, how good is your drive? There are courses in which you must drive at least 180m to cross hazards, so if you can't drive that far, then it will be better to stay with white tees. Also not forgetting that the par 3s can be long as well if you play off blue. Example Ponderosa and Palm Villa. Honestly, if you have to use FW, hybrid or play 3 shots onto the green on most par 4s after your drive, then white will be more suitable.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Teach a trick about playing from blue and also trying to minimise loses. Play with what you are comfortable with. it is called course management. if it means having to tee off with a 3w, do it. Once, we were all playing from the blue, everyone take out driver and tried to rip it. OB left, 1 in the right "jungle" and one stuck behind the tree in the middle of the fareway. I take out 2H, hit it to just before the water, another 5 iron to lay up. wedge on green, put for par. Everyone else struggling and I win the skin, total 6 holes. Course management. BTW, I have yet to break 100.... so maybe my advice not so good......
