Bro, you sure you are on the same channel here? I thought if the green light is on for this toll charges, anyone driving in will have to pay the toll at the CIQ itself, regardless of whether you use the highway or not right? Thats why all this arguement was all about. Or is it I am the one who had been misreading the press so far????

Someone were saying abt the highway mah. As for the toll, of cos u cannot avoid. Anyway 2nd Link is not cheap and unless u playing Poresia, Palm Resort..or else not point. But just my thought unless you wanna change playing ground once a while, if not play in MBGC lah, won't be so much ex. At least you save your time on the causeway jam etc.

Hopefully tmr no jam at 2nd link as we are gaming at Starhill GC, PM tee off.

going East is faster..
uses the bridge south of the Tm Sentosa side. can't remember the area name..

coming back from NS highway side. its longer. crosses the same bridge and hugs the stulang side all the way.

getting out at Pandan city side coming from NS highway is shorter. Jln Tebrau is normally jam during peak hours, but will need to see how the new EDL can balance traffic..

maybe other bros coming in at other times can chime in

Very easy....as you exit JB immigration,watch out for overhead sign and take KL/Melaka highway (green signboard).

Go in that lane, which should be second from right - the right hand lane is to go into JB ring road.

Once you are on this lane, you are on EDL, which will join to E2 (NS Hiway) at Kempas.

But if you want to go to Tanjong puteri, just take the second exit of EDL from JB Custom, which says Pasir Gudang/Perma Jaya. take this exit and you will fly over all the old kampong roads, across the Permas Jaya bridge (the one that used to have whole day jam, but now open on both sides with smooth flow), and drive all the way till you hit the Taman Rinting junction, where you turn into the old Pasir Gudang hiway, and finally to Tanjong Puteri.

Puteri is easy, just look for sign that lead u to Tanjong Pelapas Port then on the way you'll see sign that go to Puteri, but it's good to plan your route 1st.

Eh, Tg Pelapas is West at 2nd Link and leads to Poresia. Puteri is East from Woodlands easier and nearer.

That's right. This post is about how to use EDL, which links PLUS (NS Hiway) to causeway, not 2nd link.

I clocked myself 2 weeks ago from JB Customs to Tjg Puteri Course B last Saturday afternoon...total 20 minutes.

I normally see Pelapas then Gudang on the way to Puteri. Anyway onceu hit Pasir Gudang Highway, should see sign of Puteri all the way.

I think it should be Tanjong Langsat not Tanjong Pelepas.

Went to tg puteri yesterday but didnt use the new highway as we decided to have breakfast in taman sentosa area before heading up to tg puteri. Did not see any signage of the new highway while on route back to JB city. Tg Puteri golf resort homepage does has the instruction on using the new highway.

On way back along Pasir Gudang Highway, you can use the following:

(1) Exit at Taman Rintin, there is an Indian Temple as marker. Turn left after after exit. Drive all the way down the road and at end, turn left and make U-Turn back towards JB City. **You are now on the highway.on the way down, you will pass by Jusco Permas Jaya on your right. Go thru the fly over and on your left, you will pass by Permas Jaya Golf Course. Further down the road, Shell Station on your left; you can pump petrol if you want becoz there will be no more kiosk.
Exit the Shell and proceed further down will be bridge and straight down keep to the right, move upward towards the signage that says Woodlands. Follow all the way to reach Custom.

(2) Exit at Bandar Seri Alam, marker will be Shell Petrol opposite site of road.
Turn left after exit and go all the way down the road until end of road will be traffic light junction. Turn right and same as **.
