| Has anyone had a similar experience, buying great clubs but still need more? I got as an XMAS gift new JPX800 graphites, used them for 5 games and range about 5-6 times. I'm going back to my MPs. Only reason is that I prefer steel shafts. These are a little light which i'm not settling into. So my question is, when does one stop looking to buy new equipment when playing well with the current set? The itchy back-side syndrome costs me too much moolah!!

| Buy new equipment : When you are like me that cannot swing and though it is the equipment fault. Stop buying new equipment : when you like me with the very nice set and just for show only but still cannot swing | |

| depends on the individual. whether u buy equipment for functional or aesthetic reasons.
if the latter, then there's no stopping the buying. just look at the number of golf polo tees in your wardrobe. same principle.... | |

| Thanks to ALL for your comments. Appreciate it. SKiller, Looking at about $1k. Give or take. I paid $1300+ and used for 5 games. Won't get them reshafted as i'll be going back to my Mizunos MPs for the moment till i decide what to get next. Bought an R11 at Sigma recently too! Hcap cut back down to 19. Dammit. I don't use golf tees, too staid. Never had golf attire, but might try one day when a Marshaller can out talk me. It'll be hard talking to an Aussie who has played in sneakers and casual clothes for most my life and can't understand the need for archaic dress rules. Just MHO. We're all entitled to them. Played in a bright Hawaiian shirt last week at Laguna and the Marshaller tried to ask me to change as it was not approved. Poor dude when the course manager said it had a collar and as long as i agreed to tuck it in, I was good to go. Rules rules rules in Singas. We should all start speaking up hey? | |
