Many had written about the swings..

Many had written about the mental part of golf

in fact...many had also mentioned and written about the etiquette of golf

But what I find more puzzling is ' Not many had mentioned the steps to be able to happy while/during/after golf'.

Since I cant be a decent contributor of the 1st three...I am trying my luck on the last.....' The Happy Golfer (soon to be published weekly writeup'

Spot on brudder. It's what aspire til expire..being happy on and off the course.

Here's my personal list, i hope to have:

- some ability to hit the ball up in the air from its resting place to about right distance
- good etiquette
- good friends to play with
- no expectations
- nice looking and good feeling clubs in my bag

but that's just me Very Happy

300m drive...call me vain but i still want a 300m drive. Everything else i can 'accidentally' achieve except for the 300m drive (even hit cart path, lucky bounce and roll only achieve 270m). Others include HIO, Albatross and Eagle (had chance but never get).

IMO a 300m drive should be easier to achieve than a round of 59..is it?

in my case, I am happy if I am able to shape my shots....

High Fade or High Draw

or just plain simple straight shot specially off the Tee mount on Par 3

agree with with techno, bogey every hole is a 90. Very respectable already.
Spend too much time looking for lost ball and bringing too many balls for a game. Playing so badly really pisses me off.

Happy Golf Chapter #1:

Being a happy golfer is not focusing or wanting a specific end goal. This is very much contrary to the 'effective worker' as some mgmt guru been teaching.

Being a happy golfer establishes the steps in heading to that specific end goal. It could be as simple as washing / cleaning one's clubs....or even, just thrash talk at pre-game

A happy golfer, focuses on the experience and remembering the experience

Laughing at oneself is one sure way to enhance the ability to be a happy golfer

stay tune for Chapter #2

1) Get to golf... I am happy
2) Hit ball, ball fly.. even happier
3) Shout "Fore" at the top of my voice to release work stress... make me relax and happy
4) Ball hits lamppost and comes straight back at my kaki... I roll on the floor laughing

Who says golf isn't a HAPPY game ???

1) enjoying the scenery especially some signature holes. the light breeze, fresh air, open country. a hammock zzzzz......zzzzzzzzz.........

2) good company. small talk, jokes and laughter with friends over beer.....

3) Point 2 will make u relax and play better golf.

4) Putting the ball when u want it. This is the ultimate satisfaction. U check the wind, hazard, ob whatever. aim and execute! The ball lands exactly where u want it to go. Wah, pure joy!

5) To relieve stress shout "FORE" LOUD LOUD.

6) To ......

better stop now. Boss just call, Shit!
