| yes, it does look like it, however it is just one example, Rory could have been trying to just hit the fairway on that 2011 shot while it looks like he's trying to rip it in the 09 shot.
there was a recent article (yahoo sport/ny post?) about how he strengthen his core muscles such that he gets about the same distance with seemingly less effort. | |
