| You have after-sun treatment? For me, my skin is most refreshed after a cold beer (consumed normally, of course, rather than being showered with beer). | |

or would anyone care to share their own special remedies! I thought the idea of skin protection was to apply sunblock before the game? If after game then come and apply, then its too late if during the game it was scorching hot. Well I am old school. Maybe there are new products for after the game application which I am not aware of. Anyway, I used the brand called "ROC" . Works very well. titu

titu oh yeah definitely! but then sometimes we could either be in a rush or fail to re-apply, so this would do great for soothing and healing the skin after getting burnt =) why don't they make skins for the face? (look like spider man..hehe)

The one that I used. ROC, it last me for the full game. My face doesn't show any tanned shade or if it does will be very mild. I recommed it. Can buy from Guardian and though its a bit ex but its really worth it.

If the burns are serious, and I need to ice repeatedly, I much prefer a couple of wet towels in the freezer ... used in constant rotation ... really works well!!!

| Hey,
I met a few years ago a 60plus year old guy who organizes Golf tournament in our country and he doesnt look 60ish.
I asked whats his secret. He told me to used After sun lotion.
Aloe gel works well
if I can still recall what he said. He uses exfoliating cream too.

| As far as preventive measures go ... NONE of the chemical sunscreens worked for me , and I tried just about all ... The only thing that works for me is a physical sunblock (zinc oxide based) ... | |

Read somewhere that zinc oxide based sunblock harms the skin. There was a write up but I can't remember where I read it. Could be one of those women magazine s my wife bought. Seriously, go to guardian and try the brand LaROC Posay. It is SPF 50+++

| Bro ... unfounded reports like these keep coming out ... did your hear all apple juice is extremely high in arsenic!!! Zinc oxide is the only FDA approved sunscreen for use on children under 6 months of age. I'd take natural (mineral) over chemical any day ... and I have done a fair bit of research on the subject ... Badger Balm ingredients: Active Sunscreen Ingredient: Non-Nano, Uncoated Zinc Oxide 18.75% Other Sunscreen Ingredients: *Olea Europaea (Extra Virgin Olive) Oil, *Cera Alba (Beeswax), *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, *Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Butter, *Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), and CO2 Extract of *Hippophae Rhamnoides (Seabuckthorn) vs ROC Sunscreen: My skin reacts to chemical sunscreens ... and I learned that the hard way! | |
