I'd check golfwrx too, they have threads on this subject, by region.

| Try this thread since there is at least one in each city ..... http://www.publicgolfcourses.net/massachusetts/ But now may not a good time to golf there ..... Try newport ......... pretty place, pretty new england food, pretty course ..... but unsure if it were a private or public course. | |

happy travel! Bro PushSlice, do you know if US public courses allow 1-ballers? Or will they pair you up like MBGC?

| Snowman....I am from Mass originally and lived there for almost 26 years. I know the place quite well. Depending on when you are going will determine what is open and what sort of shape they will be in. They can have brutal winters (snow, ice, sleet) that plays havoc with the initial conditioning of the golf courses. Right now they are technically still in winter until April where spring starts to happen (that is typically the thaw where you get very wet soggy conditions). After that is usually great weather and good conditions.
Let me know where you will be staying and what your travel range is. There are a good amount of courses there but it really depends on where you will be and how far you are willing to go to play (more spread out than SG) I will do a little research and come up with a list of courses for you to look at.

Dan Hi Dan I'm glad to see your reply. If I got the deal, most likely i might be there around April-May, for approximately 2 months. I could be staying somewhere along HW 93 junction to 125, Wilmington...not too sure if i'm correct...keke I was go thru the google map and saw quite a few Golf Clubs, Country Clubs and Golf Courses, if you could help me to name a few so call 'MUST GO' public course, that would be wonderful looking forward to your recommendation... thank you !! snowman

Dan It may be winter conditions in Mass, but the Cape is pretty much snow free and can almost be played year round.

| May/June for Northeast is usually the sweet spot of the year. Comfortable temps, little rain, longer days, and the kids are still in school. | |

| These are all pretty close to Wilmington. Not saying they are the best in Mass. Many of the great courses are private. There are many good public ones, but many are on Cape Cod, or south of Boston and/or in Rhode Island.
Here are some that are not too far away from where you are staying.
Leo J Martin Memorial golf course, Weston MA Trull Brook, Tewksbury MA Mt. Hood Golf Course, Melrose MA Red Tail Golf Course, Ayer MA Hickory Hill Golf Course, Methuen MA
That is a start. Will do some more searching when I have some more time.

hi Dan thank you so much.. Yes, I reckon there are quite a few courses located south of Boston, would definitely consider to give them a try ... For a start, I will go look at the course you have mentioned... thank you Snowman
