Subject: The Rule of 12 - Chipping Tip for Golf Fri Feb 10, 2012 10:20 am
This seems to make a lot of sense. Tried it on the greens the other day and it worked quite well (or maybe I was just plain lucky).
Only gripe is that I need to walk up and up the green to figure out which club to use LOL!
Any bros out there using this method to figure which club to use for chipping?

impractical unless we walk the course.
if use buggy, then dunno how many clubs to bring to the green, jialat

As rule of thumb I think it's pretty good, works for me.

Seems interesting... not as complicated as it seems... just need to estimate the ratio between the ball to 1ft into the green and 1ft into the green to the pin. Take the lower denominator deducted by 12. Dun need measure till zun zun lah... just estimate it when walking towards the green would do just fine I think...
Will give it a try... since my chipping sucks and got nothing to lose right?

Yeah that's what I'm doing too...."agar-ration" can liao. First hole can still walk up n down to figure. Subsequent holes can't really be bothered hahahha

Tried it earlier.. not bad. Pretty good for chips within 1-15 feet off the fringe. Thanks for sharing..

I also agree.. This person making it so complicated..
Will you even take out your 6 iron to play chipping shots? Our answers most probably be 'NO'..
Practice with Pitching Wedge and Sand Wedge to do these shots is mostly likely.. Practice to Feel the distance and impact..
