ok..don tell me all of them in the VVVVVVVIP tents? yea i noticed that too but not surprising... 95% of pple living in dubai are foreigners and most of the foreigners (esp those who would/can afford the time to go watch golf as opposed to the construction workers and domestic maids) are westerners/ang mohs. And as your probably already know, the 5% local emiratis tend to be at the top stratum so yes they may all indeed be in the vvvvvip tents.

| one of the pro hit the ball from the green using a driver ( think it was westwood )... that's just sick man.. I'll never be able to pull that one off without destroying the driver and fairway | |

that's just sick man.. I'll never be able to pull that one off without destroying the driver and fairway i've actually seen some of my friends do that a couple of times, and also attempted it on various occasions. actually the key to pulling off the trick is just to really come hit down hard on the ball and prepare for a big fade (slice). but when executed nicely, it's beautiful!!! although its more for fun when we do it

| It is achievable if the ball is sitting nicely on the fairway. I've done it a number of times but not with very good result. I think it's better off using 3w. | |

| There's quite an interesting opinion piece by a British journalist on Dubai.

http://www.independent.co.uk/opinion/commentators/johann-hari/the-dark-side-of-dubai-1664368.html oh yeah i read that article before. super super long. best not to read on iphone/bb haha but it's really quite telling. and on a certain level, the article also describes what singapore could become like if not careful.... banglas, maids, foreign influx, bubble.. etc. except that singapore locals do not enjoy the same status as the local emiratis

ok..don tell me all of them in the VVVVVVVIP tents? Sounds like you have never been to Dubai. Half of Dubai's population are foreigners - Indians, Pinoys, Chinese, Russians, British etc. Locals usually are seldom seen when you walk in the streets. You hardly see locals playing golf in one of the 5 or 6 beautiful courses.

| just watched the finishing of the game. Luke Donald birdie the last 3 hole, and the winner spanniard Quiroz eagle the last hole.
man.. those are some serious level of skill. I think Tiger will have a hard time getting back to number 1 will those this quality.
Congratz to Luke as well on winning the race on both the america and europe top money list on race to Dubai and finishing third on the tournament..

| To be up there, one has to remain consistent throughout the season not only for one tournament. | |

Cheers, I have seen Jeff, from Golf House, hit his driver off the mat at the range. 230/240m carry....?No issue at all. Just like hitting a fairway wood to him.
