Imagine that - China Customs impounded McIlroy's US Open trophy

The China Government has a history of detaining dissidents but putting the gleaming U.S. Open trophy under lock and key just sounds too bizarre to be true.

Yet in one the strangest scenarios ever to engulf any sport, Chinese customs have the U.S. Open trophy in their possession and they’re refusing to release it.

Impounding so that they can make copying many many fakes ones and sell it off ebay...

The first qn I would like to ask is, why wud rory want to bring his us open trophy to china? Not enough stuff to carry ah?

Anyway I prefer casted fake, since it will probably will not impact it's feel and performance in anyway. Forged one is to soft and not rough enough so it tends to dink pretty easily.

Wonder if they accept customization, i would like to have my name engrave on it as well.
