The dreadful unexpected happened !

What every one feared of the unexpected happened to me late yesterday afternoon just after 4pm。I had a STROKE ! Yes a stroke attack. Luckily it was a mild one and my quick decision to go to hospital immediately. Here is how it happened. I was as usual infront of my pc and suddenly my left arm which was resting on the arm rest just suddenly slipped from it. I just suddenly felt as if I was high on drug. Like when you took some medicine which made you kind of sleepy. A bit like when you are a bit tipsy when you drank a bit too much alcohol. When I stand up my left leg need some effort too move it forward. my mind was already forming an opinion which was a stroke attack. I shuffled to my bedroom for my portable blood pressure monitor. The first reading threw me off. 200/110 !!!!! I repeat the taking one more time as I prayed that something was wrong with the monitor. The same result confirmed my worst fear that I had just had a stroke. At this moment my wife was in Taipei for a business trip. At home just my 11 year old son n the maid. I quickly called my maid n told her I need to go to hospital immediately. By now my left side is getting worst. I need my son to support me to get downstair and ask the maid to go hail a cab. Nearest hospital was Gleneahles and that's where I went. They got hold of a specialist and immediately scheduled a MRI scan which revealed a small clog!blockade in the brain. He did a physical test on my left hand n leg like some resistance kind of thing. He said quite good . He said luckily I reacted fast and got here fast. Any dilly dally getting to hospital might really endanger the whole issue. Medicines were prescribed and today I felt like I regain my arm n leg usage of aboutv70/80 %. thank goodness. The doctor came just awhile ago and did somemore physical test on my arm n leg. Announced very very good. You know what I asked him? How long before I could get back to play gold? 3. Months , 6 months down the road ?'he sme at me and said " maybe 1 month for you". Wow best news I have heard so far haha.
Well guys thanks for hearing this true life story. This teaches us not to take life for granted. Though I was a hypertension case for the past 20 years taking medications for this ailment diligently daily I underestimate the situation by thinking that nothing will happen as I took my medications so diligently. Boy was ibuprofen wrong. With this experience my outlook now towards the future will take a dramatic change. I am not going to take things for granted. Everything I do now will have a purpose.
So guys please take care of yourself especially your health. Life is short. Nobody can tell what will happen next. Take care n enjoy your glf. Cheers!
