How many Eagles achieved so far?

Subject: How many Eagles achieved so far? Mon Oct 24, 2011 11:17 am

How many Eagles have any of you achieved so far? In my record, I achieved 4 so far. And I bet it's going to be more and more difficult with age. The other factor would be to depend on luck more than ability. My records:

1) 1st Eagle 2001 - NSRCC Navy Course Hole 5 Par 5. Pitch in from 110m.
2) 2nd Eagle 2002 - OCC Vanda Course Hole ? (Can't remember but it's after the
Par 5 near Clubhouse) Par 4 - 1 on 1 putt.
3) 3rd Eagle 2004 - OCC Aranda Course Hole 9 Par 5. 3rd shot lob over coconut
tree and ran to see ball roll into hole. (Jump with joy)
4) 4th Eagle 2008 - Ponderosa Hole ? (Can't remember which hole) Short Par 4.

I remember I had 5 Eagles but just could not recall that elusive course.

Wow, impressive sir. That's 5 more eagles than me. Sad

Especially Eagle no. 2. 1 on par 4. How far was the distance?

I think at that time the Par 4 played to 276m or something like that. My drive landed on the green and I have about 60feet to putt. It was a night golf. I intend to bring it near the hole for birdie but the kind ball went in instead. Beer on me that night. Beer

2 eagles....

1) kranji hole 6 par 5, chip in from abt 20m

2) kranji hole 12 par 4, pitch in from abt 60m

That is the old layout for Vanda, now the hole 7 after the club house par 5 will not be possible to hit 1 on. Unless of course there is a hurricane behind you....

No. Shorter than that. I have a 60' (18m) putt remaining. Meaning 276m - 18m = 258m. Nothing to crow about. I am sure there are quite a few bros here who can drive longer than 258m.

I can tell you it's pure luck, especially when night golfing. Or should I say all my eagles are pure luck. Nearly hole-in-hole during the Senior Amateur on 20 Oct'11, Left with 8" putt for birdie at Vanda Hole 2 Par 3. cheers

I can't remember how many eagles I have had but should be around 4-5 bah. Used to chiong all the par 5 when I was younger but age is really catching up and can't hit that kind of distance any more. Nowadays, happy to get birdies liao which has become really rare.

I got about 6 eagles last night at Wolf Creek.

I got my first eagle when I was 46. I pick up golf late, in 1995 when I was 40. My last eagle was in 2008, when I was 53 and hope it won't be my last. So technically, you are still young if your declared age of 43 is correct.

1) 21 /06 / 2010 at The Legend Golf Course , Hole 6 Par 5 ( Jack Nicklaus Front 9)

2) 21/09/2011 at The Colonial Golf Course ( Gold Coast ,Robina) HOle 15 Par 4 , Holed a 100 meter shot Very Happy

3)14/10/2011 at The Colonial Golf Course( Gold Coast ,Robina ) Hole 8 Par 5

4) 24/10/2011 at Robina Golf Club (Robina, Gold Coast ) Hole 16 Par 5

Did you hit it far from the start (as beginners)?

or

Did you start out as avg distance hitter and gained distance over time with improved technique, strength and/or better equipment?

i started driving abt 200m cos of a failure in technique... but i'm able to up my distance a bit now...

non-HIO eagles are insignificant achievements, to me it's just like birdies

HIO, albatross and condor are real stuff to be proud of
