HOw about April?
Are you located in BKK?
Planning for BKK and Chiangmai and what courses are good?
I'm located in BKK now, I'm fine with April since there are just plenty of Public Holidays during the 1st 2 weeks of April (religious festivals, royal cremation ceremony as well as Songkran falling within the 1st 2 weeks).

There are plenty of decent courses around in Bangkok:
- Thana City
- Thai Country Club (weekend's not cheap though)
- RiverDale
- Suwan (I'm not sure if its open due to last year's flood, I have to double check)
- Summit Windmill
- Unico (my worst nightmare is here... thick fat cowgrass!!!)
- Muang Kaew
- Green Valley

In Chiang Mai, I'm not too sure, but you can look at here:
http://www.chiangmaigolfcourses.com/

Chiangmai Highlands is supposedly quite good. But I haven't had the opportunity to play there yet as I'm mostly a one-baller these days.

Language isn't too much of a problem. As for tipping, my usual would be to tip my caddy the same amount as their caddy fee.
Typically its a slow pace of play, but the onus is usually onto the golfer themselves to keep a healthy pace of play and not hold other flights up.

Got a chance to try 20XI-X. Comparing with Tour-D, the ball does have more stable ball flight and does not 'curve' as much. It is not as far in terms of distance but do have nice feel with irons and putter.

I find that I have to putt 'harder' to get to same distance comparing with Tour-D. It does 'check' more too. nice ball.

But still expensive comparing to Tour D which I got from Golf Direct Smile

Interesting. Nike Thailand got a few demo dates for the 20XI this month and next at some featured driving ranges. I'll probably head there to demo the balls. See got any special offer and will probably grab a box if its good.

For now, I'll stick to my Bridgestone e5. Fairly decent flight and goes quite a distance. I can launch it out of bunkers with a nice spin on it. I used to play badly with Nike Power Distance Balls. Devastating Slices Galore with Nike balls. I'd lost all 12 Nike PD balls in a single morning game a few months ago. But then again, I suspect the problem is with the Indian and not the Arrow. I only lost 3 balls (2 to water, 1 flying into another person's residence near the course) last week...

Sounds good though.

I'm down to my last dozen balls, time to check out the 20XI-S after trying the Bridgestone e5s.

The Bridgestone e5s are quite decent balls I thought. Flies long, nice spin out of the bunker.

I'm too ngiao, so instead of buying new balls, I'd decided to go Lake Ball Hunting instead.

So far, I'd seen plenty of Pro-V1 & Pro-V1x Lake Balls (as these are pretty popular amongst Thai golfers. It gives you a sense of how crazily rich some Thai Golfers are). But as Thailand is a golfer's paradise, I told myself there HAS to be some balls that are pretty hard to find in the regular market these days.

With some luck, I'd found these 3 balls at my regular Lake Ball stall.
Nike Owners - Page 12 Img0257fy

Its a first for the 20XI-S as none of the other Lake Ball stalls carry it (either it was buried at the bottom of the bin or they don't have it at all).

Sorry for the Titleist Professional 90. Hope I won't be labelled a 'traitor' for that!

Just curious, does anyone knows how much a VRII Pro 3W with Project X 5.5 shaft selling for in SG?

Wondering if I should pass up on a offer of 5,500THB (or about SGD$225) for a close to mint, almost brand new, zero scuff VRII Pro 3W.
