One brand for entire golf set?

now i know beside me and wilkang, there are 2 more NIKE SLUTs....haha...

anyway back to topic :

for iron set, always use 1 brand.

driver, wood, hybrid, wedge and putter can always use different brand, but you really need to spend lots of time to go explore, try and know what you are looking for.

i would say i'm lucky enough that i have try out the wood, hybrid, wedge and putter of the same brand as my iron and i like them all, and all are playable and manageable for me...keke

hahaha.. NIKE is good.. within my pwn golf kaki, the two nike sluts are playing best hcp.. but my group not as good as u guys.. i drive one of the furthest within my kaki.. but cant even see tail-lights when playing with u guys..

his bag consist of multi brand irons....machiam like one brand for one iron type

i ask him: wah, your irons like UN....

he say: demo clubs....


but i noticed his wedges.... also multi brands as well

ball mark on his wedges the size of 20cents.... not 50cents, 20cents

he play double or triple 1st 3 holes.... think he waiting for me n the other 2 to jio him

back nine he play 1 over.....

the way he play the back nine, i know he got game....




point is: u dun need one brand for entire golf set to play well.....

that other guy also wasnt a fool, he checked Slinger ball mark, it was 1 dollar coin size.

pls lah,, what ball mark...Slinger one drive on liao.else .second short only wedge and even the putter also seldom use..His Irons no ball mark one..

hahaha~ I guess not many can accept the square headed looks. The round head looks nice, but I guess I'm not at that level where I can shape the ball flight yet. And if I do attain that stage, I guess the VR Driver would be sufficient enough to take care of it (but then again, the sound of the VR is irksome to say the least~ I swear the *ping* I get from playing softball on an aluminium baseball bat sounds better!).

With the Str8-Fit system, it also means I can stick to that black regular Fubuki shaft and swap heads around between the Machspeed Square, Round, VR and VR Pro. Then again, I can't seem to find any shops that just sells the driver heads only....

I'd tried the one with the red insert a few months ago, not the Method with the black insert.

Hmm~ Maybe everyone can have a 'brand fanboy match' one of these days for the fun of it~

So its confirmed that the Str8-fit system can change shaft? I have a VR 3 wood with Project X shaft. Its stable but feels dead...

Supposedly you can even buy the str8-fit adapter off eBay buy I'm not too sure. One thing is for certain, you can fit the VR and VR Pro onto a SQ MachSpeed Square/Round Black (specifically the Machspeed Black, not the original Machspeed as the screw threads are different) and vice-versa as long as its using the Str8-Fit system.

The only problem is that, with the Machspeed Black square/round head, you only get 8 different position settings as compared to the VR and VR Pro where you get 32 different position settings.

Anyway, I'd swapped my VR Driver head with the Machspeed Black on the Black Fubuki shaft and it fits, works and shoots off balls at the range well. The threads on the screw all matches perfectly and the wrench turns and beeps without giving any problem. But eventually I swapped it back because I prefer the square head.

I probably can't make it for any of the SSNs this year but hopefully can make it for the SSN in January. Maybe can meet up and I'll bring my VR head and Machspeed Black head and we can just swap around and play. Wondering who has the VR Pro head to try though......

I think you will have clearer idea of what you wish to use in the future once you play more and understand wat you need to help compensate your swing

Hence thinking if I should break my TM set. I know I'm not sponsered but more for feel as in if in between a pitching wedge (48 deg) and a 9 iron, I don't want to have too much of a difference in feel as in weight.

Granted shall try all the wedges again at the range or hopefully get some off the marketplace here so it is more cost efficient to try more options.

Regarding again with wedges, You must accept there are some Brands like Vokey, and Callaway specially those Mack Daddy grooves thats gives "faster Spin" than TM wedges
