young "i" is the last one, he got his 50 A fix on his R9 this evening.
Our little friend needs all the help he can get to tackle the fairway bunkers in Laguna off the blue eh? Definitely a good lesson for "i" with you guys at Laguna. Its been a while since he had high 90s ... cannot settle down tat evening, said he needed to see his pro. Yesterday, at Warren from blue, he completed the round with 1 golf ball & came back with 93. You can expect him to be at the range this wkend to run in his swordfish ... you can expect him to work very hard to win back the golf ball Thanks again guys for the priceless experience. Cheers, ethee

| 'I" has a very solid short game which is not common for someone his age. his hybrids distance for those 145 to 160 distances are almost flawless. Driver mostly straight but may lack some dstance. 190 to 200m is not an issue.
only think of course is his age as he is only 11 year old and although we sometimes regard him as an teenager he is in reality a primary 6 boy. he also needs course experience and play different courses to get a feel for difference greens and layout.
i know he can play in competitive mode and if he is in that mode, i am sure it will be tough for boys or girls in his age group to beat him.
S70B and i can still have our day now, but in a few years time, the fortunes will be reversed.

DGman Very true. For those who think that distance is a problem for them, they should learn a little from playing with good ladies or good 'junior' juniors. He sticks it pretty close for his 3rd shots on par 4s and chips it very well if he misses greens. Thank god his putter wasn't working that day but it normally does. When that day comes where fortunes are reversed, I will be the one taking strokes from him just like I do now from Mr Choo TH.

| "I" has a lot of good future in front of him, the trick is to keep him motivated and focused. Very bright kid. He has to learn failure is a sign of success. In the wise words of Dory the fish - Keep on going.
DG Man, When are you planing to turn the prototypes into productions

| Ok tried the Swordfish prototype today....its awesome.
in my opinion the drive is straight and the shaft plays very true with a tight dispersion. i don't rate it longer than the BFG white but the shaft is extremely stable and the torque on it is just nice. the feel is also lively but without the wobble at the top when we had it spine on the soft side. Generally it goes low when you intend it and climbs when you want the height.
all said and done, i would like to invite golfers who hit their 7 iron 145m to try this. you can take out both the white 5 series and the swordfish and give us your inputs.

| Tested the prototype shaft over the weekend at the range. Both "i" & myself liked the ball flight very much - the swordfish shoots low & pierces thru' the air. Gave a very good roll upon landing.
When we finally ran-in the shaft, it felt truly smooth & stable thru' the swing. Distance was about the same compared to the white series but if fairway conditions are right, we will get advantage with the good ball roll at the end.
Next round at the range, we will do a side-by-side test - SWORDFISH VS WHITE SERIES
"i" is already asking if he can use the prototype at his next tournament. DGMan, any restriction to using prototype shaft at tournaments ?
Cheers, ethee | |

- Hey ethee, what does "i" typically score? I thought 99 from blue was great for someone of his age. But then again, I'm comparing that to me and 99 from any colour is a cause for celebration.
"i" strives for high 80s from blue; a realistic target for juniors at his age playing competitive golf. So far, he has been returning low/mid 90s from blue. Rgds, ethee
