- i always have the urge to 'jump' as i do the downswing to get more 'strength'... lol think i need to change to a men's set soon. my clubs are too short and light..compromising my distance so i tend to force the shot and my whole night would be full of just bad hits..
I noticed a lot of kids or smaller size individuals have this bad habit of "jumping" on the down swing in the hope of generating more power. The young Tiger Woods was of no exception. He mentioned in one of his clinic that he tended to squart down a little when transiting from upswing to downswing and then lifted up his upper torso to hit the ball when he was a teenager. Now he advocates to drive his hip laterally at the ball during the downswing. This is a powerful move, you should not jump or squart and lift your body during the downswing. Just drive your hip at the ball. Turbo

| Read this in ST yesterday, this one-legged golfer drove 300 yard; ok, minus possible tail wind (10%), good fairway to roll (10%), it was still 240 yard (220m)... one leg... oh my

uh oh, that sounds like me, I have a bad habit of twitching my hip on the downswing. I also don't know when was it that i developed this habit. ZiAn

| Seriously, if you look into the aspect of physique, what does it take for a feller, be Men or Woman, to drive average 250m without going to the extend of forcing the shot?
What is the main factor behind the pro golfer's physical motion cause the ball to shoot out like a rocket?

haha, i should introduce u to some of my mates back in the UK. those guys are golf crazy nuts that will do anything to play golf. anyway, UK has some of the nicest and cheapest courses that you can find in europe, and the greens are manicured so perfectly.. u should go explore some of the courses, we used to drive for like 3 or 4 hours to play golf. haha
