| How does one define this? a pin slotted at the extreme end of the green protected by bunker in the front, and water on the side? during one of my ritual games at my adopted home course....I tot the pin was pretty tough for a par3 scenario: pin (red flag) was located extreme left and front was bunker....and worst as I only realized the 5m radius fm the pin was the only flat green..as it was .kinda located ' in a valley'..... first ball..did not on .went left fringe of the green.., 2nd ball..landed middle of green. To my surprise, I par the first ball...but 2nd ball, just could not..coz of the down slope, the ball will roll out of the green regardless of how I putt. speed was my layman's guess...fast key learning: on is not always good for me | |

| most of us hackers should aim middle of the green and two putt from there.
that said, tough pin position for me is when it's on a severe slope, and especially when the area for uphill putt is small
like the left pin position of MBGC's 18th hole or on few holes at Warren, if I remember correctly.
putting on severe slope is damn scary man. Whether your approach ball landed 5 feet away or 20 feet away, you still got lots of work to do.
on some scary greens with hazards abound, I also prefer to hit a safe apron and one chip one putt from there e.g. 10th hole at Horizon Hill.

| 1 small snake = OB, water, bunker, before red tee n 3 putts 5 small snake = 1 big snake 1 big snake = 1 jug of beer/$10/$20/$50 end of round.... who got more big snakes will pay small snakes are accumulative, not just per individual, for the whole flight.... normally when 3/4 small snakes, ppl will zhun pattern to sabo others.... | |

normally when 3/4 small snakes, ppl will zhun pattern to sabo others.... just to clarify, if eg, i got 2 OB, my flight mates got 1 x 3 putts, small snake count is 3. then my flight mate, knowing that i will make 3 putters, zhun pattern, deliberately do a 3 put to make it 4 small snakes. Hence when i make 3 putts, the big snake is count against me right?

| It annoys me when the pin is located on a ridge. It makes it very tricky to read the green and assess speed etc.
As for placing the pin in tight spots, I tend to go for the wide expanse of the green instead. No need to cheong... play safe and smart.
