| read the reviews and discussion over at golfwrx, seems like theres a lot of positives but some people cannot get over how huge the head looks.
anyway if its available at the ping demo days, it might be worth going to check it out first.
as much as this poison seems strong...i am loving my Adams.

very excited too Got the 10.5* TFC169 regular... Thanks for Ivan of BFG, I just saved lotsa $$$. I approached him, wanting to change my G20's shaft coz I found it a bit too whippy for me and he advised me to hit at least 200 balls with the club before deciding to change. Then I caught up with Ben Ang, a golf coach at Fairways Club, who was previously with Custom Golf (Ben fitted me for my Ping Anser irons and G15 driver). Ben gave me a few tips on the driver usage and viola! the ball was much straighter. Thanks to both Ivan and Ben, I now got the hang of the action & reaction of the club. G20 now gives me 15-20m more than the G15

| It is probably just me, but for distance wise I've hit it futher with i15 compared to G20 is my gut feel, of course G20 is more forgiving than i15 so there is a trade off there. I will try to confirmt his again at the range (owned both driver and undecided at the moment). Enjoy your new toy. It has also served me well on those 200+ yards shot at both Ciu Long san and Feng Huang san | |

| Hi Folks, sorry to bump the old thread, but I figured that I should do the Ping G20 justice by giving my humble review of this lovely stick.
My Current Set-up---> Ping G20 9.5 , Fujikura Rombax 5x07 Stiff shaft.
Old Driver ------------> Ping G15 10.5 , Aldila DVS Stiff shaft.
Figured that since I just fitted the new shaft and only managed that one horrible game last week in Marina with the rombax , I was bent for another test round in Changi Golf club which is 10min away from my home. To add objectivity into the assessment, I brought along my bushnell rangefinder to get a more accurate distance.
Following are hole by hole FR of the game I played on the front 9.
Hole 3 (Par 4, 279m) - 234m drive on level fairway, with 45m approach shot. Ball flight, mid high with a slight draw. Made par
Hole 6 (Par 4, 249m) - From the tee, reached the green in one and ball rolled to back of green. Chip back as it was red pin. Ball flight mid high with a slight draw. Made par
Hole 7 (Par 4, 358m) - From elevated tee box - 2nd Approach shot to green about 118 m. Abt 240 m drive but since tee box was severely elevated, I must have had at least 20m advantage from the tee. Ball flight draw. 3 putted and made bogey
Hole 8 (Par 4, 335m) from elevated tee box - 1st drive went OB right into the navy base. Hit provisional ball. Approach shot with pro ball left 100m. Abt 235m drive but since elevated, again, I had at least 20m advantage from tee. Ball flight straight. Made double bogey.
Hole 9 (Par 4, 289m) slightly elevated fairway- 2nd approach shot to green 57m. Abt 232m drive. Ball flight draw. Messed up my approach shot and made double bogey.
I played the back nine pretty much the same (FYI, Changi golf club plays 2 x 9 holes) , except that I rolled to back of the bunker on the hole no. 6. I also did not take any notes for the back 9. So far the drive off hole no. 3, at 234m was the furthest and giving the fairest assessment due to its level elevation, with the rest of it rolling in between 215-230. Only had 1 drive from the tee went OB from the total of 10 drives (with the driver of course) I hit today.
Before I changed the shaft to the current Rombax, I was struggling to find the kick point or whip on the stock SR TFC shaft. I find that it feels very whippy after only 7-9 games and getting frustrated with my drive. In a nutshell, the stock shaft sucks. I wondered why did I sell something that already worked, which was my G15.
Only after today's game, I have started to realize the potential of G20 with the rombax.. WOW!!!
For those who knows me, u guys know that I am not at all a long hitter and I normally drive ard 210m (roll + carry). This new combo seems to work well for me and I hope that it will work for a long while...
At the same time , not to forget, I had decided to invest in lessons with a coach, Shorthitter (aka Allen Kelly from laguna) and is starting to bear fruits. I used to have jitters at the tee box with the big stick, but after getting a more consistent ball flight (slight draw), I am learning about the natural ball flight with my current set up and swing, giving me more confidence from the tee.
In summary, G20 ROCKS!!!... but now gotta work harder to earn more money from all I have spent...

| Awesome. I think your move to a G20 is also symbolical. I'll be taking 10-10 (which equals 20) from you next time | |
