| Hi All,
Need recommendation on easy course in JB. Wife just started playing golf not long, played Palm Villa once and commented Palm Villa is easy as the fairway are big for her, no water also.
Any recommendation on other M'sia course which is Palm Villa equivalent? Prefered buggy on fairway.
Thanks.

Thanks. Sorry, mistaken. Suppose to meant Palm Villa... not starhill. Any Palm villa equivalent?

| EasiER maybe, but still not easy. for reasons that I cant explain, my scores were slightly better at Legends than at other courses. How about Palm Villa? There have been recent sightings of 11 under scores over there Avoid Poresia, Horizon Hills, Tg Puteri A and Ponderosa. Those are the toughER courses imo. Johor CC is walking course so shudnt bring wife there. | |

| palm villa is easy. avoid IOI if beginner. another easy course is Palm Resort Melati course. wide fairway, buggy on fairway after 9am, not many hazards between tee box and fairway. love the super long par 5, 660 yards from blue and fairway wide like a football field! | |

| I don't think ANY course is easy.
Reasons :
1. I've never played under Par at ANY course. 2. I can't hit on target 100% of the time.
I agree to disagree with people who say Palm Villa is easy. It's not!
If you play 18 holes at Palm Villa and come back 1-under or better, then yes, you're allowed to say it's easy. Otherwise, to us unprofessional golfers, every course remains but an elusive challenge.

| I will say The Legend golf club (Kulai)it's easy , but some people will say it's a long course. however i think the fairways are wild . most of your miss with the driver you will be in the first cut or fairway. On Jack Nicklaus course the green have almost no undulation. | |

| I think PV is short which gives people the impression that it's easy. | |

| Palm Villa is not easy but forgiving - due to wide fairways. Certain holes can be challenging. IOI is super long.
Ponderosa is not that difficult on the new 9 but the old 9 holes is hell of a difficult. Need to hit it long and accurate.
My 2 cents worth is that the 9-holes course at Permas Jaya is the most forgiving of the lot. It's relatively short and fairways are wide. Not much of water in play too. This is just in my opinion and I can be wrong.

| I agree palm villa is easier than most. It is short, wide fairways, friendly rough and most holes allow bump and run entrance which I think important for ladies beginner. | |

| Palm Villa is easy, especially if played from the front tees. Wide fairways, not much OB, greens are not elevated and they usually have slopes around the green to guide the ball back into the green as opposed to sending the ball away.
Ponderosa might have a lower course and slope rating, however, rough is deep and sometimes not easy to find the ball. Greens are also much more protected compared to Palm Villa.
Both are nice courses though, but I am trying to remember if Ponderosa is buggy on course or on track.

| All else being equal, then $ will be e deciding factor. For me, my wife also just started. We chose Daiman18 bcos: - CHEAP!! Only rm110 through out weekend. - near to 1st link. - buggy on fairway. - not too difficult.

| Actually, IMO, there is no such thing as an easy course. The best description I can use to describe such 'easy; course would be beginner-friendliness or most forgiving If one is having a bad swing day or simply got some swing issues on a given day, even on the most forgiving/friendly course, one will still find it tough to score or have a decent golfing day. Having said that, I agree with Derek that Palm Villa is one of the most forgiving/beginner-friendly course in JB. The other, I can think of is Tanjong Puteri; one of the 3 courses there (which I cannot recall). @ 2008 - Whichever course you pick, just focus on having a good time out with the wifey. Happy swinging. | |

| Thanks all for the inputs. Basically she needs a wide fairway as her shots are way wards and I tends to stand behind her when she plays as her ball nearly hit me a few times when she shank... wide fairway easy to find balls. Will go for another round of palm villa with her since she likes it. | |
